CLG Brings Change to the Mid Lane - News - CLGaming.net

Link is leaving CLG, to be replaced by both Pobelter and HuHi. Meanwhile, he posts a memoir of his time on the team to his twitter account, pointing out massive perceived flaws in the team's structure, directing a lot of blame towards DoubleLift's attitudes.

In my opinion, this was an awfully crass and unprofessional move on his part. He pays lip service to the team by saying that he hopes they win, but this document can only serve to undermine not only the confidence of the current members, but also especially the willingness of his replacements to fill his shoes. At the end, he qualifies that this is only his perception, and that he might be wrong, but that doesn't negate the scathing remarks he makes throughout the rest of this write-up.

Opinions?

Im sorry but Doublelift just isn't a top tier ADC imo. He might have been at one point but he's been very mediocre for a long time to me.

He's correct in some of the things he says, but most of this is just venting. Sure Doublelift is loud, but that tends to happen when everybody else on the team operates at a -30db sound level. Sure Doublelift may be bossy or too demanding, but that tends to happen when everybody on the team is scared to challenge Doublelift, irregardless of how he feels on that subject.

It's pretty simple. The entire team is scared to incur Doublelift's wrath, so to speak. Doublelift is an no-bullshit-straightforward, and until somebody grows the balls to tell him to shut the fuck up, it's going to remain that Doublelift's suggestions are taken as commands and followed to the T by everybody, which will result in him coming off as an overly demanding asshole.

All I thought of when reading his goodbye note, was "Thank god he's finally off the team."

Weird how he throws dlift under the bus for 17 pages then gives him a shout out at the end...

Forgot to talk about the article. For Link it seems, of course, some things he said are most likely true. The teams mentality around dlift, zion being forced onto meta picks, slow learner, etc. Some things he just seems whiny/childish about, like the closing message for the haters, lmao. I don't really know what to take from this, but if he's really had that many problems with CLG, he's better off not on the team. I really don't even know why he played this split expecting change if the teams been like that since he's been on it.

Is anyone really surprised that he says most of CLG problems are coming from Doublelift.

I think he went to easy on HotShot. Regi is a nice guy too, But if shit happened is his team someone is getting kicked.(Sometimes a good player, The xpecial thing was likely more a time out, But it was still an action). Hotshot can't control his own team it not a surprise they done so poorly.

I liked the part when he talked about C9 and how it was his dream team. They are so much more professional than CLG and it shows. I was surprised when he said Zionspartan is a slow learner, i think hes one of the best top NA. I wasn't about surprised about Montecristo being a bad coach and Doublelift shitty attitude.

I liked CLG before but seeing how their team is not a team doesn't want me to keep encouraging them. I guess I'll stick with C9 and TL.
