Anyone have an update on the state of online communities and independent leagues?

Ever since the shutdown of NA's online tourneys, every competitive community that i've been apart of on teamspeak/raidcall/ventrilo/discord (which werent many) has essentially become extinct or dwindled exponentially.

Just want to know if anymore are still emerging and if anyone has any updates on how the tourney shutdown panned out for live events?
