ice: lpl (last place at worlds) russia wildcards even tho turkey won. because wildcards arent "bad" enough already, you have to pick the 2nd best wildcard team eu lcs as always playing amazing but fucking up when it counts (final match going on right now)

fire: not much to say... many matches with 2 worldchamps vs 2-3 wildcard players. lms they did decent at worlds na not showing up at all. sadly. but i was glad to see meteos once more.

2 . ... no that was already it! i seriously like the gamemods chosen, tandem was amazing. 1v1's were cool, respect to doublelift for the rematch. the 2 rematches!!! im not a fan of doublelift but he surely got my respect. well it was fun but clear from the beginning that fire wins. wildcards only costed points, and even tho na was as bad as wildcards and even lms didnt do that well, in the end korea was carrying way too much.

ice: eu, na, lpl/lms. and still fire would win. but yea it would be no fun without twitch chat spamming eu>na or na>eu. thats soooo much fun. make war, not love isnt it?

i think you overate korea a bit. Eu really kept up with them through the turnament, they just somehow tend to screw things up in finials/semifinals, like today. Huni had a really bad day, he performed horrible in both final matches and pettymuch lost it for eu. But besides the finals, which for some reason are always a weak spot for eu, it was pretty blanaced, lpl a tad better than lms, na a bit better than wildcards and while eu and korea were nearly on even ground.

EU went undefeated in the Bo1s, and you're gonna complain about stacked teams? If only Froggen hadn't been 4-0'd in a Bo3 by DoubleLift, EU would be singing a different tune.

The teams were just fine. Let's break down the majority of people's perception of region rankings.

  1. KR --- 2 & 3. EU/CHN --- 4 & 5. NA/LMS --- 6. Wild Card

Fire ended up with 1, 4, 5. Ice gets 2, 3, 6.

Essentially, it's a 2-team snake draft, where Team A gets the first pick, Team B gets the 2nd and 3rd pick, Team A gets 4th and 5th, and Team B gets 6th. The teams ended up exactly where they should have been.
