Why are the sportscasters saying they expect TSM to beat RNG?
I don't...
they never perform well internationally aside from one IEM event.
and while they're good in NA, RNG is still a great team

Because RNG was lacking in macro and China in general is willing to take risks when they have leads when they don't need to, effectively allowing teams to come back in the games. TSM throughout the season has had pretty good macro and been able to snowball advantages effectively. RNG was actually the expected team to not make it out of the groups, but it's called the group of death for a reason.
Because Chinese teams are itching to fight every chance they get, difference in shot-calling was the key surprise for this game. It was a surprise when they did not contest so many times for the buffs and objectives till like 20 minutes
