Schedule made by Rito
It said FNC vs. FPX starts at 17:00. So I tuned in at 16:55 and game 1 was already over. Riot, can't you do even such a simple thing right?

Sounds like you have timezones mixed.

Nope, it's because the series starts right after the first quarterfinal concluded. 17 was just the estimated time.
Imo that's hardcore bullshit, the second series should start at a fixed time unless the other series is going on much longer than expected. But definitely not earlier than the time written on the schedule. That's just BS.
It'd be pretty easy to do as well actually. I mean if dead air is a worrisome matter, show some blast from the past games/matches. Have some means to entertain the audience, especially for a 10th Anniversary gig.
The LCK can do it. It wouldn't hurt much to adopt it to situations like this. I wish I had the perspective of a LCK attendee though.
So they were running almost an hour ahead of the projected time, right? I can understand soaking up some of that dead time, but an hour is a lot. I can understand doing a couple extra interviews, maybe a highlight reel or something like that. Would attendees really want to watch a full old game they could just watch at home? I don't see an easy solution unless ticketing and venue was set up so the quarterfinals series are totally separate. Bundle price for both, and then Riot can wash their hands of dead time live at least. For people watching stream it's far easier for Riot to fill with promo videos of upcoming stuff, the analysts in a studio chattering longer, etc...
Or they could indicate somewhere in the schedule VERY CLEARLY that the second series starts when the first series finishes
That would be smart, but. . . can't bet on management making smart choices.

Nearly entire EU is a single time zone.
Except it stretches across three?
Except it stretches across three?
60% of countries and probably something like 80% of EU's territory is in CET zone.
I'm just saying, there are three zones. It's kinda rude to assume nobody lives outside one.
Maybe 4 zones if you count Belarus and that east part of russia. UTC+0,+1,+2,+3
Really? So you just assume the OP is an idiot or something? You gonna apologise at least for that condescending and false comment or what?
