A Short Open Letter to Faker

Right now, you're probably blaming yourself. You've just lost your first World Championship ever, and your dynasty has finally been toppled. Your perfect track record, broken. And you're right to be dissapointed, you're right to be sad. But the one thing you shouldn't do is blame yourself.

You are still the best League of Legends player who ever lived. Even now, your status is utterly undisputed. You played your heart out this entire championship. You carried your team on your back all the way up to the finals. You're a living legend, the Unkillable Demon King, the God of League of Legends. You are the model that every player aspires to be, and no matter what, your name will go down in history. Don't be ashamed. Be proud.

The fact that Faker played Karma of all champs and almost carried that shows how much he was able to do with his team that was all over the place.

I stopped reading after you wrote, " The Unkillable Demon King." He clearly got caught at the end of game 3.

Can someone please translate this without using google translate?

Faker did amazing... His name has already been etched in history of League and will be remembered forever. But this isn't the end. He will return, more powerful than ever. The Demon King will arise again.

Season 4 they could not qualify for worlds vs double Samsung also Najin beating them back to back for last slot, Faker came back from that to win 2 championships

You carried your team on your back all the way up to the finals.

HIs team carries him too :/

They're a team, not just Faker and friends.

Faker is killable.

Don't feed the hype/ego. Either Faker believes in his own legend and is overconfident; or he succumbs to the immense pressure from having to live up to everyone's expectations. I wouldn't be surprised if Faker feels like he has to carry the entire team by himself, and would blame himself if his team fails, exactly because everyone expects him too (by calling him the unkillable demon king, a god, or whatever). This only makes the inevitable defeat oh so more crushing.

Yea he is the best player in League, but overhyping him isn't doing anyone any good.

Riot had a boosted bot centric meta to nerf faker undirectly so there would be more chances to see another team win for a change

You do realize that nobody helped him or anything?

Faker is not to blame. He is the ONLY reason they had any kind of chance and didn't ff at 20.

honestly, everyone's worrying about Faker, but no one has even paid attention to Peanut or Bang. Those two are also exhausted, those two have put in so much work and they need a break as well. Faker isn't the entire team, those two deserve praise as well especially after not being able to play so well. Peanut doesn't look so good anymore, he doesn't play like he used to, but yo, Faker is everything. No one paid attention to anything that anyone else does besides Faker. This stupid little letter should be for everyone, not just one guy. His entire team is the reason they got so far in the series, not just Faker.

You might not agree with me, but this lose is one thing that genius was needed for improve, you need to feel lose once to improve,to not let yourself have this feeling ever again. If he can overbear it and will actually do his best to make himself stronger...next worlds he will be actual enraged vengefull abomination.

I don't know why anyone thinks Faker is going into some sort of self blame depression. He is a three time champion. He set the bar, professionally, in this game. I'm sure he has some emotions going through him still about the game, but come on. Faker is a smart dude and understands that, more than physical sports, competitive gaming cycles are shorter. I'm sure he considers himself lucky enough to be able to year in year out be in this position. I don't think Faker is Piglet, is the jist of what I'm saying.

That blank dive into a tank comp... unlucky.

Also, why allow Malzahar, Cho and Sejuani so much? lol

Easy to play and strong as hell... no logic. Terrible draft.

I literally have no idea who this person is. who exactly am I aspiring to be?

Bobloser355511/5/2017, 3:33:32 PM1 votes

Why do people always claim he is the best? No one knows who the best is, because it's kinda impossible to judge.

I'm pretty sure the edit was google translated, right? I'm still in contact with someone from a korean forum trying to translate it.

He got caught several times, it was definitely his fault. The good news is that SKT can practice and come back better as ever next year.
