Worlds 2016 Projections

Firstly, any guesses who will represent the regions based on the Summer Split so far? For example, I will guess TSM, IMT, C9, SKT, ROX, KT, G2, H2K, Fnatic, RNG, EDG, Snake, ahq, and Flash Wolves will all make it.

Secondly, is there anywhere to clearly see results from all of the regions from Spring and Summer, and then maybe see the projections based on past and current standings? I know it is visible somewhere, but it is kind of hard on lolesports to find the final standings from Spring Split and how many points each team got for their standings. It would be cool to then have some central place to view how current standings could affect which teams represent their respective regions based on their current place in their league. For example, Fnatic and G2 have been going back and forth for the #1 spot for EU Summer Split, but how would that impact whether or not they go to Worlds when taking into account Spring Split?

I kinda disagree on you with the C9 going to worlds, although they are very strong contenders. Both EnVyUs and Team Liquid have been looking good in recent weeks and could take their spot. No hate towards C9 though, 2nd fav. team after all, but it is something to look at if you were to look @ the points they earned in the spring playoffs, with C9's 10 championship points to Liquid's 30 Championship points (For perspective, TSM has 70 Championship Points and IMT has 50 Championship points, so they'll will probably go b/c of that, unless CLG makes it to playoffs and makes @ least 3rd place. Unlikely, but possible)

You are probably right. Do you know where to find the championship points? I have searched a bit and cannot readily find them. I feel like there should be somewhere showing it throughout the season (like House points in Hogwarts) showing what the results were last split, what the projections would be assuming nothing changes this split, and then it changes as teams move up and down in rank through Summer Split. Of course, playoffs can change everything, but it is still worth visualizing in my opinion.

It doesn't really project much from the teams as the seeding was mostly based on Bo1 series in the regular season and (mostly) some 3-0 or 3-1 romps for the most part, as many teams (See NRG) had little to no experience in Bo5 series. The playoffs, I think, will be more balanced. I am, though, praying for an IMT/TSM quarterfinal/semifinal matchup. I dunno. I would like to see IMT vs TSM in the finals. Two teams willing to bring that aggression and fight to the Rift. I know it probably won't be an LGD style fight, with a kill a minute, but like a good fight, I want to see teams just swing for the fences, and beat the unholy shit out of each other in a slobberknocker.

TBH I want IMT/TSM semi's b/c I want TL in the finals. Nothing against a TSM IMT finals, but TL have been looking good and they may have the chance to beat either team in a bo5. I definitely want to see a TSM IMT bo5 tho. Would be interesting

Nothing wrong at all with you wanting your favorite team to break the "Forever Fourth" curse and get to the big dance. TL seems...to have gotten better ever since they dumped Piglet from the starting lineup(I do miss IWD though).

There's always a chance to beat TSM in a series. It happens on international stage, or in the finals of a regional split(since TSM is the only NA LCS team to reach the finals each split). But currently, TSM's been blowing out the candles of opposing teams in heavy fashion. The scary thing is, I think TSM is still sandbagging against every team. How many games did LiftLift play Lucian, or Hauntzer play Irellia/Swain? Almost like they're daring teams to ban the champions, or beat them when playing the champions. Which means they've got strategies or lineups that they're hiding very well.

Snake?! What?! China's 3rd seed is most likely going to be WE. There's also the chance that IG just goes off in the playoffs and earns the third seed out of nowhere. But I would put 5 teams as having a better chance to go to Worlds over Snake (aside from RNG and EDG).

From NA, the third seed should've been CLG, but... Well if they can't pull it together, I can imagine C9 pulling run to qualify for worlds. They're just too clutch as an organization. TL won't make it. And NV probably won't. So it's down to CLG and C9. It's most likely going to be C9, because as we all know, CLG only does well to get our hopes up then shatter them. Though by that logic, they should be able to qualify for worlds only to lose to in groups.

For EU... I guess Fnatic will get 2nd seed and H2k 3rd seed? But that's a risky spot for H2k. I don't really like H2k in playoffs. So there's a chance an upset could happen for 3rd seed. Origen strikes back? Maybe a C9-esque run through the gauntlet.

For Korea, SKT, ROX, and KT are the expected ones... But Samsung might pull an upset for the 3rd seed... And I know that ROX and KT could easily drop the ball on that one (KT more than ROX).

And for SEA... I guess FW and AHQ? J Team could make it too. It's TPA rebranded.

In the end, I hope every team gets plenty of time to understand the meta and bring out their full potential. No more new patch right before the tournament starts crap. Either way SKT is gonna win. Then next year maybe, just maybe, Samsung White will be reborn (EDG will drop Pawn because of injuries, DanDy will want to have an actual team or mlxg fully matures as a player, and Imp gets tired of Pyl's shit or Uzi becomes so perfect with Mata that they don't need Imp either). Or RNG gets a kick in the pants like Ozone did in 2013 and evolves to next level heights for 2017 so SKT will actually have a legitimate rival again.

I was guessing Snake based on Spring and Summer results, but I can't find the actual Championship points earned from last split. I just think I remember Snake doing well and they are in the running for playoffs this split. It is mostly just a bad guess! lol

I wish CLG would get it together because they brought so much hope to NA during MSI. It's a shame to see them struggling like they have. I hope C9 make it, but I guess the third spot is a bit of a toss-up. If Liquid or nV were to go I feel like they would tilt in the early stages.

Origen could make it if they were to find some awesome ADC who meshed well with them quickly, but with xPeke as the ADC I would rather them not make it. They could, but I hope not.

I agree, Samsung could make it. IT just feels like SKT, ROX, and KT should make it and most likely will.

At this point, I would really like to see G2, Fnatic, TSM, Immortals, SKT, ROX, RNG, and EDG duking it out. I'm sure there will be upsets (there always are), but these are the teams I would like to see facing off for the title.

I am excited to see how the Assassin roster updates, Ryze rework, Yorick rework, and Warwick rework affect pro play next year. I feel like the champ select landscape will be a bit different, which is when some teams rise, some teams fall, and the consistently competitive teams stay at the top.

While they have enough to make regional playoffs, there will be scarier teams in regionals. I just don't see Snake making it.

CLG's sole purpose for its existence is to bring our hopes up just to shit on them right after. They're NA's CJ Entus. They're not short on talent, which is what makes it so disappointing. And let's clear this up right away, TL won't make it. And given how they roster swap between LCS and NACS, I don't feel remotely badly for them.

Well, given that the LCS has shitty rules governing the rosters, it IS possible to still get a new ADC I believe. But for them to mesh as a team and make it through regionals would be an insane feat. Really don't think it'll happen. Especially seeing as apparently xPeke's shotcalling is what keeps Origen afloat.

Yes, SKT, ROX, and KT SHOULD make it, but there is a chance (and not even a small one) that Samsung replaces either KT or ROX on that list. ROX dropped the ball hard in Spring playoffs. Maybe it's because the finals was hyped up so heavily, but now I've lost all faith in them and would really rather let another team go. They had ONE thing they were good at, and they couldn't enforce it on SKT. If it was SSW, they would've found a way to make it work enough to at least have a great match of at least 4 amazing games. With SSB you don't even need to ask whether it would be worth watching or not either. But ROX just didn't show up.

Doesn't really matter what teams make it, SKT will crush everyone, maybe even with a perfect record this year. No matter how good EDG and RNG look good going into Worlds, they could fall flat like 2015. Not really interested to see any of the European team at worlds. I mean, they might make a nice group of death somewhere, but I don't expect much from them this year. I feel like it's NA's year to make it to quarters (before getting demolished).

I agree with pretty much everything you said, except I do think Liquid has a shot. Not a great one, but I think they have a shot.

I think SKT's degree of success will be based on any changes to the meta between now and Worlds. No doubt they consistently show themselves to be the top team. Even when their record isn't looking that great they get into playoffs and wreck people. However, to go undefeated would be ridiculous. Will be an interesting fight for top 8 in my opinion.

Right now, Pyl's the main reason why LGD hasn't fallen apart, and is starting to reforge, ever since he came back from his leave of absence. He's the one holding the doggie whistle for the team. LGD's past 4 series, they've gone 3-1, after starting 0-4.

Yeah tbh I was just joking about Pyl, he's not bad, but like... For some reason people think putting Pyl with subpar players is acceptable because he'll somehow make them stars. It's like Imp traded down from Mata. Except Mata will actually lane with Imp and destroy 2v2s instead of roaming to protect jungle.

I certainly wouldn't call MaRin, Imp, or We1less(if he returns) subpar players. MaRin's become the LPL's version of Dyrus, in that he gets camped(for damn good reason), but still manages to be relevant all game, or become the win condition for LGD. Imp is just Imp. He's like the unholy offspring of Wildturtle and LiftLift with his aggression, and mechanics. We1less is currently injured, but he's a damn good player. Punished(We1less's sub) is currently improving with each game. Eimy....well....whenever he throws an explosive cask on Gragas, someone dies...Even if that cask is for "zoning."
