Is this the fall of C9?
After seeing GV actually beat C9, this is a huge upset. I really think they need to replace Hai. Both games he just fed and didn't make much of an impact. I hope C9 don't turn into Gambit :(

Yup Cloud9 is done. They should disband now so they don't tarnish their legacy. Let's forget about the fact that TSM also lost to Team8, or that it's just the first week of the split, or that C9 also won the IEM San Jose tournament a month ago in dominating fashion.
So yes, they're washed up.
They aren't playing amazing, but they are having really poor champion selects, too. They can't play with Gnar, they pick elise over jarvan, they pick Sion over anything, etc. They seem to be losing champ selects. I mean, why even pick kog'maw when their team comp really wasn't a protect the kog. Sion doesnt do anything, Hai and janna alone cannot save Kog from that dive. I dunno, I think the inclusion of a coach in champ select is helping other teams and hurting them.
Personally, I think they're too strong as a team to get knocked on tilt after just two games. It's a long season and there is plenty of time to bounce back. That said, Hai did not look like he was in a good state of mind after the TSM loss.
T8 just beat TSM.
I think it'll take more then 2 bad games to knock 'em off their Cloud; everyone has off-days, not to mention maybe their opponents were having an "on-day".
In the seasons I've watched NA LCS, C9 has always randomly dropped games they shouldn't have. I wasn't around like two years ago when they were super dominant, but in the time I've watched them they usually pull things together near the end of the season. They looked solid at iEM, I wouldn't count them out.
Everyone is always ready to blame Hai. You can't do much as an Orianna in that matchup when they're focusing him before the Kog'maw. Rek'sai has 1 second of cc and then Sion is... Sion.
It mainly seems that they didn't fix the issue's after the lost against TSM. They litterly made the exact same mistakes against GRAVITY in the midgame... And again they round off with a poor pick/ban fase. They clearly have some issues and after watching that second game it's more than one that has problems:
The only ones that I saw perform in those games was Balls & Sneaky while LemonNation was solid mechanicly.
I fear C9 will have to take a punsh on or more till Hai expand his champion pool and he was able to learn
properly. It didn't felt he really mastered that champion yet.
Pick/Ban is something that can be solved really easy. To break down the C9 vs GRAVITY:
Also this might sound crazy but what if that fed Sion buyed
instead of
. He already had some big health stacking so a shield like that might made his full tank build more usefull in that situation. Still
or even
would have been better tho.
The only problem with the way Hai is playing is that A) Cloud 9 values longevity and synergy over just plain "good" players, and they are proud about not having to change their roster in 3 years. B) Hai is the shot-caller. Although he is performing the worst on the team, C9 is more likely to change their name and team completely (Elements) than replace him.....
It is sad though. C9 has been my first love and favorite team since S3
I wouldn't go so far as to replace Hai, especially given he is their shotcaller. Also, give it 3 weeks.
hmmm....I've seen C9 in worse spots. It is only fist week. C9 is usually good at adjusting.
It's too soon to tell. Yes, it was disappointing to see them wind up in last place in the standings at the end of week 1, but keep in mind that it's only been just one week and one week only. There's still plenty of time left in the split for all of the teams to improve, so let's not count them out just yet folks.
I refuse to believe that C9 is weak because, well, they aren't. With the same roster every season, they come back stronger than ever. Although they lost to SSW during Worlds last season, that only showed how C9 improved over the years. For this season, there are new teams that have young people but when did having young people have anything to do with winning games? I believe that C9 knows what they are doing despite these two losses. Also, don't blame Hai for everything cause it's not. They are uncomfortable with the new season since they were on break, essentially. Just give it a few more weeks and they'll be back to wreck everything the NA throws at them. Although they don't get first place, so what? As long as they enter playoffs, that's all I ask for. GO C9!!
They had a similar start in either Spring or Summer Split 2014, losing a couple of the first games they played. After these losses, they figured out what they were doing wrong, and went into a win streak to come out on top of the league. They're not out of it in the least.
Screw Cloud9 they're gonna end up like the Yankees at this point. To be honest tho, I don't believe they'll fall off the top unless they're 0-6 or 1-5 after week 3. I do have a little faith, but you know what we got UOL now (LCS is fun to watch now :).
This is obviously a TSM fan.
Yes, TSM #1
Overreaction. They started slow in the Summer as well. They'll get their crap together.
It's too hard to say right now but I was definitely not sure what to expect when this split started. All these new teams and players has definitely shifted everything around. The only thing I'm certain of is that C9 won't go negative this split. They've lost to Complexity and won against LMQ. They gave a loss to every team last split and still finish in 1st before the playoffs. C9 was the team I watched when I first got into spectating the competitive scene ever since they were Quantic in the promotion tournament (Thank you, Ciderhelm). They are a team that learns from their mistakes very well. Look at the progression they made from their first trip to Worlds, where they lost to Fanatic, and then watch the Battle of the Atlantic. Then you can watch their second trip to Worlds. C9 is big on improvement. They have never let me down, even when they lost to TSM in the play offs. I may sound gross and obnoxious but so does every other fan of every other team.
also if Liquid doesn't make top 3 this split, they should all retire.
Why replace Hai when he is top 4 AT LEAST mid in NA and according everyone on C9, the best shot caller in NA.
Man this is so ignorant, it was 2 games, and Hai is like a super good shot caller. Give them time, they are C9, and they have lost games to bottom teams befour LOL
