[Request] Salty Queue vs. Real Solo Queue
Disclaimer: Personal opinions piled on top of personal opinions.
Riot, this is a request for a game mode. I want to call it what it really is "solo queue." But not the solo queue you have now. I mean a ranking system where my wins and loses are only one of many variables that determine my rank.
You use all these stats when you describe pro players. Wards per minute, wards killed per minute, KDA, CS at 20 minutes, etc....
Why don't you take all those stats and rank us by them all? I'm tired of playing games where I get a guy who picks jungle and then locks in with ignite/flash because "oh sorry I was watching youtube." How am I supposed to win games with these people? You keep removing snowballing opportunities with every patch. Well, congratz. The game feels mostly balanced. I can't carry myself beyond Silver 1 now.
I placed Silver 1 beacuse I was silver in season 3. I honestly didn't play much LoL in S3. I was very busy with college. Now fast forward to today. I've learned about hundreds of tiny mistakes I've been making wrong in the previous seasons. I'm 100% confident that I'm capable of a higher rank. I want that victorious morgana skin. I lost the chance for victorious elise by getting demoted from Gold 5 2 weeks before the end of season 2. I lost 3 games with AFK's on my team before you implemented the promo series thing.
I constantly see the mistakes of players on my team. I see the windows of opportunity to turn the game around. But it requires me to spam chat and try and cram years worth of experience playing league into someone who's playing at the level I was playing at a year ago. I can't improve unless I'm matched up with players that are ACTUALLY at the same skill level as I am.
I don't feel that the current system of counting wins and losses by itself is really matching players up correctly. Maybe I'm still salty. But either way.... I'd love to have a ranking system that looks at my individual stats and plays, rather than just how often I lose because of AFK's and players who don't have a clue what even is a split push.
Thanks for listening. Oh, and buff Nautilus.
