DestructoDave1 votesI dont understand how they keep having visa issues. If Riot cares about their brand, why the hell aren't they stepping up and making sure this stuff is ironed out. I dont care if its the team's responsibilities. Its Riot's responsibility to put on a good show and keep it watcheable. Watching some rookie team get mowed down because of stupid visa issues is annoying and shows a complete lack of care.
Its pretty annoying as a spectator. If you aren't going to make sure these kinds of issues are fixed, then stop allowing imports to begin with. I dont care if some teams manage it and some don't. That doesnt help me as a fan watching some team get mowed down like a 15 minute solo Q game. Either step in and start getting these visa issues done yourself, or stop allowing imports.

Teams were working like they were working in the past and Riot was just making "high level spot checks of visa paperwork", which means that until some problem arised they were believing in teams's good will when doing the paperworks
Then some team cough Regi's TSM and his allied teams like C9 and TL cough notified the issues of EF players clearly because of their personal interests (when Bjergsen in his first times at TSM was playing on tourst visa, oh the hypocrisy) and forced Riot to seriously check everybody and apply controls on anyone, discovering a situation that was yet known (and abused in the past by some of the teams are making accusations now), and is even more problematic for some players in Eu like Diamond and Edward (the other players shouldn't have too much troubles to obtain the work visa and get back to their teams)
The problem is that until team start to work together theirselves and with Riot, without going with opportunistic moves (like what happened this time) and stop treating the overall league business as personal issues so often (like the changes they pushed for towards the closure of LCS with the new promotion/relegations system when new teams backed up by VC appeared in NA CS scene), you are never going to see the esport scene grow enough to have all the issues ironed out properly
