I'm honestly scared for my pick'ems now.
I got 32 points in groups. Only needed 2 more points. I figured KT and RNG were both locks, so picked them logically. Dared to dream and put C9 as winning the whole thing because... why not? As long as I got a single quarterfinal pick right, I'd hit the 34 for the icon.
Now with missing the first 2 quarters?
Well, Fnatic or C9 better come through for me.
Why I'm scared though?
Well, G2 beat RNG. VIT also beat RNG. It wouldn't surprise me that G2 got some tips from VIT as to what worked for them, and used it to give themselves an edge. Admittedly G2 really played their own style for the series, but still...
Then IG beat KT. Guess who else beat KT in groups? EDG. Perhaps IG got some tips as to what worked against KT and were able to use that as well...
Now for C9 vs Afreeca? Well, Korea wins worlds and Afreeca is the only Korean team left. They have to win almost. Even with history aside, it just seems fitting. All eyes on KT saying they're Korea's only hope (after the first round of group matches at least), but Afreeca came out unbeatable in the second half of groups and it would be pretty fitting for them to rise now. That's a typical storyline.
Fnatic vs EDG? I think Fnatic is still the favorite, but man with all the upsets you can never be certain...
