Worlds Pick'em | League of Legends World Championship 2017

Note that this was made before groups began so just keep that in mind when viewing this.

Group A:

1: SKT (I mean come on now it's SKT, how can you NOT expect them to get first in their group?) 2: C9 (The most consistent NA team when it comes to Worlds seeing as how they're so often the only NA team to make it out of groups). 3. EDG (Honestly this was a toss-up for me between EDG and ahq. Both teams are good but not good enough I feel to get out of groups). 4. AHQ (Honestly this was a toss-up for me between EDG and ahq. Both teams are good but not good enough I feel to get out of groups).

Group B:

1: LZ (#1 seed coming out of Korea: yeah no brainer that they'd get first). 2: FNC (While not exactly the best year for FNC I still feel like that they have a pretty good shot at getting out of groups). 3: IMT (First time at Worlds with a bunch of rookies on the team. I expect them to put up a decent showing but not enough to make it out though). 4: GAM (Honestly as much fun as it is to watch GAM games thanks to MSI I just don't see a reasonable world to where they avoid getting last place here. Cheese picks are good and all but if you only know one style of play (i.e. aggression only) then you're gonna have a bad time as MSI proved).

Group C:

1: SSG (Again it's hard not to bet on a Korean team to not take top spot in their group). 2: G2 (Pretty good showing in the EU finals but not enough to take first seed in my opinion). 3: RNG (Track record says that they don't, hence why they're at number 3). 4: FB (The obvious choice for 4th. They're no GAM or ANX so it's even more unlikely for them to make it out).

Group D:

1: WE (While not exactly the best showing internationally I do feel like they're the strongest team in the group, hence why they're listed first). 2: FW (I'm well aware of their history of not making it out of groups in the past. However, compared to the other 2 teams I feel their odds have improved this year). 3: TSM (Historically have never made it out of groups for the past 5 years, so why should I expect anything different from them this year honestly?). 4: MIS (Same story as IMT but even more so. Good but just a weaker version of IMT I feel like).

Thoughts?

Well since week1 is already done, it is a little late to discuss.

A - agree B - Same as me, but Fnatic has thoroughly disappointed C - seems ways off from my prediction and reality D - slightly off my prediction and reality, but this group is still a total toss up

SKT SSG LZ G2 MFS TSM C9 IMT RNG EDG WE

FB - Honestly, they look good, real good and wouldn't be too much of a shocker if they come in 3rd place at this point.

AHQ- Decent team that eliminated C9 2 years ago in groups, could do it again to make it out of groups. The only problem with that is it seems AHQ "STILL" doesn't know who to use at mid Westdoor or Chawy and it's going on like 3 years of this drama, and it's not getting old anytime soon.

GAM- Really seems like the ol' bedtime heroes of good ol' solo Q and what is fun, doesn't always work in pro play.

FNC- The good old CLG Doublelift strategy of 2013: give 1 players all the attention and gold and live/die by them, doesn't seem to be working, if it didn't work for a better ADC in NA, I doubt it will work at Worlds 4 years later. Hence the 0-3 start.

FW - Ever since NL left I really didn't care much for this team, I tried to really get behind them and even said FW would beat SKT at MSI in the B.O series but............. yeah. Betty just can't do much it seems as ADC and that's a huge problem as the meta kinda asks for a strong carry ADC with strong chain cc from the others at the moment. Another problem is Karsa's engage and the rest of the group doing pretty much nothing all game, they're too passive and just dies slowly for 40+mins. The have no trigger sense, no GO !

TSM - Honestly should still be #1 in groups, they 1-1 team WE when WE was supposably at their best at MSI/after Spring with Wildturtle. No excuses, I don't care if Bjergsen "loses his voice again"(even tho it was for 1 game last year and TSM won", not understanding the Meta etc etc etc, I don't care ! If TSM can't make it out of groups this year, there's really no point in watching LCS anymore, or league at this point. Let me guess 2018 winners, TSM, SKT, EDG, FW? Yeah ? K
