I agree with OP. I don't think Yellowstar will last. You can tell there is tension when they speak about problems. It's one thing to say the team has problems and another when a member of the team starts to be specific about problems. DL suggests that it's the support and that the expectations weren't reached; Yellowstar saying that players are too aggressive for no reason and points to DL
I always hated DL. I do think he is a good ADC but he is not the best in NA; that goes to sneaky than wild turtle. Yet, DL has this mentality that he is better so when he wants to be right he argues. We saw what happened in CLG, they kicked him out because he thinks it's all about him
He will stay in TSM because TSM themselves made a mistake kicking Wild Turtle and now instead of having a ADC who is aggressive and open minded, they got one who is aggressive and think he is elite status #1

Getting money as a LoL pro is not to do with tournament winnings, it's to do with the salary the team will offer you. NA teams are extremely rich and pay very well. That's why it gets so many imports.
And it's really not as easy as ... just joining a team. It's very likely that SKT wouldn't take Yellowstar.

It's more that the amount you get via winning is tiny in comparison to the amount your team pays you for being on the team. I mean, when half of Fnatic left to go to NA they specifically spoke about how earnings for NA teams are significantly higher than they are for EU teams, for a variety of reasons. That's the primary reason why people like YellowStar left.
If it was true that the best way to earn money being a pro was to be on the best team possible (so you could win lots of stuff) then YellowStar would still be on Fnatic. They were semi-finalists at worlds - you're hard pressed to find a western team that can reliably do better than that. He chose to go to a mediocre North American team because he doesn't care that much about performing well, he just wants to earn more money.
It's sad, but it's the reason there is so much European talent in NA. NA will always pay more even if you're going from the best EU team to a middle of the table NA one.

Dlift isn't anything but a guy who occasionally pulls off some mechanical outplays, but has a huge ego, drags a team down, and really isn't any better than ADCs around him.

Yes. You get someone like Yellow on your team, you build to that. You dont piss it away for a damage bot ADC that can be replaced. Just look at C9 for how important a player like Yellow is to a team. And, CLG is doing pretty well with a replacement ADC, even if he isn't as good as Dlift mechanically. And, Stixxay really isn't that bad. There is just a lot of strong teams right now. I dont even think CLG would have did that well last year if Hai was with C9 all split.
Teamplayer shot-callers are the most important thing for a team. C9 is literally the worst team in the LCS without Hai. Maybe Renegades is still worse.
