If IG wins it all, or even makes it to finals, do we all take a step back and relax and realize our region may be better than we give them credit for?
If Damwon and IG both make it to the finals, that would mean the two teams in the finals were in TL's group....
And now G2 stomped DWG who stomped IG in 2 games who stomped Griffin who stomped G2.
So, that must mean G2 is way better than G2
It really says nothing. First you must assume Damwon gets past G2 and SKT. Second, it still doesn't excuse clear underperforming by TL's carries. Third, TL got two of three wins off 0-6 AHQ. Fourth, they are literally the NA superstar team. With only one clear better NA jungler than their own, TL is basically the NA All Stars against regional teams that are not a regional all star roster. Frankly losing in Groups shows they underperform and the region doesn't measure up.

No.
In a seriousness TL was in a tough group but frankly we've been saying ' Oh well X NA team is in a difficult group' year after year after year and at some point we gotta say "You're locked in here with me" instead of the other way around. Every group can looked at difficult from an NA point of view because we(NA) are just an inch away from LMS/Wildcard tier.
I agree 100% with what Chompy said in his post. We sent the "Back to back to back to back" LCS Champions and the "Best team NA has ever sent to Worlds" with an All-Star level talent and we got the average D-Lift special 3 wins..... no excuses.
It means that Liquid is garbage and Invictus was playing poorly for one game that didn't really impact their standings anyway.
Our region is garbage because our solo queue mentality is terrible and our talent makes far more money streaming on their own schedule than they'll get from tournaments, so these matches don't really matter beyond temporary spotlights to stroke their oversized egos further. Cute that you think Damwon have a chance at beating SKT though. Even if they go 2-0, the end score is going to be 2-3 with the usual Reverse SweepKT-
NA is garbo just deal with it.
