Best of 5 : no repeat champion usage?

There are currently 137 champions in League, and yet tournament play sees such a small set of these champions.

I would really like to see more variety.

What about having best-of-5 matches disallow re-using champions in subsequent games? Essentially, every champion played in previous games would be banned for future games in the best-of-5 series.

It would increase variety, increase the strategy of champion picks, and reward these pro players who can confidently play a larger champion pool.

Just another diversity post really. At this point there's nothing to discuss about it.

I rather see someone actually make a simulation of how their idea would work and how it would affect the pros. Hell Riot TRIED to enforce a different and diverse meta game only for it to ever so much creep its way back to what it was because of the mixed reception of pros and players alike.

There was hardly anything about diversity stuff in the past few months on these boards; rather there was one post about wanting it all to be changed back because the fan wanted Rekkles playing and couldn't stand Bwipo in the bot lane. Well guess what? Didn't get reverted but enough to be changed back to the way it was and bye bye went a vast amount of that unpredictable factor that teams had to work and play with. I was so disappointed when it all normalized but I just shrugged it off.

I think if they did it, they've have to be fair on either side. So each team can only use a champion once. So each team is allowed to use the OP champ once each, then it's locked off. It will also free up bans as well. Should have been doing this for a while. 10 bans, then pick out of 131 left isn't really diversity when it's the same champs picked and banned each game.

Might actually lead to Vi or Diana getting pro play. :P
