Couple of beginner lcs/worlds questions

Hey all,

I watched a couple of Worlds games and one thing almost every game occured was that both teams in the outer lanes, gave up their turret so easily. Both teams are doing stuff in the jungle and leave their outer turrets up for grabs. I wondered why they do that??

Other question: Why is Elise such a popular pick? Im sure she is a good champ atm, but arent there other usefull junglers? Why always her.

Thats it.

Teams give up the outer turrets because they are very susceptible to being tower dived if they try to contest. It's far safer to just trade a cross map objective than risk falling behind in kills.

Elise provides some great early ganks because of her cocoon. She also scales well, has good chase, good escapes and can clear the jungle fast.

1: Because both teams get it. Do you want to try to contest it and maybe lose out on that gold? No. So you just take the tower opposite of the tower being taken.

2: Elise has an absurdly long stun duration on her cocoon. That, and the fact that her spiderlings tank a ton of jungle damage, make her early game unmatched and her late game decent.
