Why don't top laners last hit the turret?
I've been watching worlds and i don't understand why the top laners just watch the turret die instead of them last hitting it. It's kinda annoying, cuz that seems like a waste of time.

More minions dying to turret while enemy is not around = more exp and gold denied.
-Bounce the wave -Share gold from tower with team. If minions take it the gold is spread between players. If one person get sit they take a larger portion. This is why adc when pausing tend to get solo tower kills early. Extra gold early game for them. -Moving earlier
All people do this not only top laners, and so should you.
The idea is you still get the same amount of gold when you stand near the turret that dies. If you have a big wave, your minions will kill it. minions give gold. So you let the minions kill it, therefore getting rid of possible enemy gold, while not losing anything.
bouncing the wave
Sitting there waiting lets the minions all die to force a loss of gold for the enemy. They don't even need to kill the turret themselves for the gold, they just need to be nearby.
