Champions that arent played in LCS

Obviously we won't see champions like Yorick, Shaco etc.... But why is it that champions that have been played a lot in the last split arent played much anymore? For example I personally viewOrianna and Corki and many others as very strong picks in the mid and adc roles. I understand that in the LCS it has moved to a very team reliant game style but some picks I still wonder how they are ignored. I understand that in the playoffs many teams pull out champions that the other teams might not expect. For example zed was played in 2 games between C9 and TSM in the Spring Split and I don't think he has been played in the Summer Split yet. Any thoughts on other champions and why they might not be played as much anymore please comment.

Corki ends up doing more magic damage than physical anyway and his passive is better for roaming so he should just go mid

Corki got a butload of nerfs and was only picked before due to the sheer damage he had. A lot of that has been lost so there isn't really any reason to pick him over a different ranged burster.

Ori is fine, but she is only picked if you are scared of the enemies unknown mid, need good waveclear, and can afford to have a passive midlane that isn't going to provide much until late game. So the situations that you pick her up are pretty specific. On top of that she generally wants a hard engage teammate she can use for ulting so that also limits when you might pick her up. On top of that LCS is all about flexing right now and Ori is not a flex pick.

I understand the fact that most people are using flex picks in hopes to counter and have better lane advantage but with fact that a large amount of LCS games have been going into 30-40min range I feel like corki would be at least a pick to consider but I guess now that I think of it theres much better picks with a lower risk. Although Corki would force people to build both MR and Armor depending on build

Most of the time I undetstand why the picks are the way they are, but I don't understand why orianna isn't used hardly at all, she's a reliable blind pick that can turn any game around no matter the situation.

No clue, I guess just better picks, you want a good teamfight zoning mage, Viktor. You want poke Karma. But imo Ori and Corki are still strong.

Orianna has great highlights, but is team reliant. As such, if they see the Orianna comp coming in champ select, it can be heavily counterpicked (or outright denied by picking away the Ori)

Corki is just weak right now. He is hard to build against with his damage split, but also is hard to build for the same reason. He can't build heavy penetration, so once the enemy tanks have an armor item and an MR item, Corki falls off. It also doesn't help that using "The Package" offensively puts Corki in a horrible position.

As for some others, Rengar MasterYiDarius aren't unheard of in the LCS, but are uncommon picks because they are unreliable. Champions like these are pubstompers; great at fucking up uncoordinated teams, but easily counterpicked and shut down in high level play.
