The LCS Best Coach award don't even make sense LOL
Basically the players did all the work and which ever Team come out with the best W/L record their coach get the reward LOL

Except Yammato is Splyce's coach, which was the 2nd best team in the EU LCS... Also, it's incorrect to simply assume that coaches shouldn't be recognized, coaches are there to better the players and it is possible that without the coaches that teams wouldn't be as good as they are Now whether the correct coaches were picked for the award, that's up for debate (I personally have no opinion as I haven't been able to watch as much of the LCS as I would've liked to).
That kinda underrates the value of a good coach for any team.
Doesn't that sum up coaches in general though? After all, they aren't the ones playing the game.
What exactly IS the criteria for "best coach".. I would actually LOVE to have the headset sound piped in for the teaming banning/picking. How much input/control does the coach have?
Look at SKT with Faker and Easyhoon. The SKT coach wanted Easyhoon to replace Faker for 1 of the events to get experience knowing that his players and as a whole can make the gap and play accordingly.
Faker will get to watch another player/teammate replace him and so would hopefully help build confidence in him to play harder as SKT was out of WORLDS for a year at the time and was losing events to EDG and other teams as well as help mold Faker into a better all around player, as he was and still is the best LOL player build when you have no desire or motivation to be not just better but "BY FAR" better than the rest you tend to be motivated.
Easyhoon would get the experience that he needed before leaving SKT for another team instead of being behind SKT'S money maker "Faker" as their were no signs of Faker being replaced as it would create too much controversy of Faker being "replaced" and it would be the same as replacing Kobe Bryant with a 2k Rating of 99 with someone with a 77 2k Rating. You know ?
Those are the decisions that a coach has to make and that is why their is a Coach of the Split(year) awards.
