And imt losing there spot to fox.

Will challenger teams still be able to make it into the lcs or is the challenger series just gonna be a waste of time for riot to put on anymore? I feel like the current challenger tournaments to come into the lsc is a huge turn on for a lot of fans a d shows us new talent coming into there own. And if imt gets into the League challenger series and makes it back to the top of na like I know they can will riot kick them again and make them do it all over just because they don't make as much money as the big 3????

Imt kinda threw a few games when it counted at worlds and at home this year. But hey so did tsm with that horrid ryze jayce comp. And that kogmaw with flash death from dub.

I like both teams.

The brand of the team dies but those players will get other teams.

I just dont understand how NA LCS moves forward with this. Can these teams lose their spot through relegation?

Here's the thing... I like both teams...

IMT has has a big fan base who is crushed by this decision. the team has been nothing but successful since it's inception last year & has been the biggest new name in NA since C9 exploded onto the scene in 2013. Noah Winston is a pretty awesome owner & one of my favorite esports owners out there, he puts integrity over talent & still gets results (Just look at his decision on his counter strike team). IMT will be dearly missed...

But Echo Fox is one team I said HAD TO STAY... It's all about marketing & making money in business. And Riot is going to need their most profitable owners brand in the league, Rick Fox. When ever a non esports source writes an esports article, it's about this guy. He's a celebrity & attracts new clientele & sponsors that some of your more successful owners can't. When a source like Forbes writes about the profits of being an owner in esports, they're going to write about Rick, because people know him. Most people are unfamiliar with Regi, Jack, & Hotshot, so even though their teams are the most successful & popular within the community they aren't going to bring in new fans like Rick's team will. as far as how Echo Fox is a much worse team than Immortals, yes it sucks to lose immortals, but the players will find new teams. And besides I like Fox's players Looper is one of my favorite players ever (SSW was the best team to ever play), Akadian is a budding superstar, & Froggen is one of the OG superstars. They just need to fix their bot lane to be competitive.

There is no more Challenger Series to win into the LCS. The franchised teams are it. No winning in, no losing out. They ARE the league.

CS has been replaced with the Academy League. Each franchised LCS team will have an Academy team for upcoming talent. Scouting Grounds will be used to recruit for Academy teams, so it's not going away. There will still be tournaments with those teams, same as the Championship series. The endgame for those events will just be different.

That doesn’t sound so good

You basically need to be good and lucky to get picked up....

I guess there is a pro n con

Well that sucks. Seems like you need s popular name or big bucks to play on stage. That is really disappointing in many ways to many people. I hate how a little bit more money ruins everything. Rip good players. Hello garbage contracted teams. Lcs is gonna become like congress with no term limits.
