In their game against C-9, the problem was far worse than Azier. They drafted like crap. POE has always been good at finding a counter pick. So why pick his champ first. And then you pick Azir first? Bronze level coaching there. The one lane you don't want when you pick Xayah Rakan is..... Caitlyn Morgana. And as it was, CLG picked Rakan 2nd so what does C-9 do. Caitlyn Morg. And what's worse is after that lane is picked you then pick Xin Zhao which can't do anything with it, and Gang Plank which can't really do anything with it either until late game. And as it turns out you now have 3 losing lanes which is the opposite of how CLG likes to play. And what's worse is you have 3 losing lanes and a frail team comp. An early engage jungler with no set up for him in any lane until Azir hits 6. Rakan can't engage a Morg, neither can Xin Zhao. Hit black shield, hit taunt. walk away. So your only engage left is a shurima Shuffle and that doesn't come until level 6. Meanwhile, C-9s bot lane cuts their bot lane to ribbons well before level 6.
The 100t draft was terrible too. When kennen is your AD... Yeah it was once worth essentially nerfing your own ult to oblivion for a ranged kennan with OP items and OP AD. But now after the nerfs to the items and to Kennan, uh not so much.
Simply put in both games, they got out drafted, mostly due to their own gaffes, and as a result out played.
