Games are taking too long.

First Crs vs Col hit 80 minutes. Now the entire Najin Black Sword vs SKT T1 S best-of-5 has been a massive farmfest. Games are getting longer, and victory is coming down to who can stall longer, rather than who can make - and more importantly, capitalize on - better decisions.

CLG.EU would have been proud, is all I'm sayin'.

I find the long games more entertaining. I like them

Banshee's Veils sorta stall it out unless you have a good means to pop all of them in a cost-free way. You can suaully pop 1-3 but those people back off while someone else stalls waves while they come back up, then rinse and repeat.

This is absolutely a problem for both watchability and the strength of fan support in terms of sustaining the viability of esports. I just hope they are seeing the early warning signs now and not waiting until it's too late.

The problem, I dare say, is not the length. In Season 3, games were much shorter but were they better? That's debatable.

In the 80 minutes game, caster Kobe said "What happens at 80 minutes, does a meteor hit Summoners Rift?" Say 40 minutes instead of 80, I think there is potential.

Longer games are more entertaining. Rather watch a long close game than a quick one-sided stomp. The LCS has been better this season compared to previous seasons in terms of entertainment. Besides, most sports have games that last 1-2 hours. Hockey has 3 periods of 20 minutes each making it an hour long game. Have you ever heard a fan cry "football games last too long" or "hockey games last too long". Longer games also mean there can be comebacks. This puts you on the edge of your seat and creates excitement. One thing i've always hated about league is how snowbally it is. But this season has made gold leads less of an issue allowing for losing teams to claw their way back.

I wish i could downvote this more, its so irritating. Just the idea that a red could see this and take it seriously makes me mad. I don't want games to be shorter. If i wanted a short game, i'd go play/watch dominion. Games this season have been a lot more exciting, preciously BECAUSE they last longer.

Tell that to the teams that played during Sunday's LCS. Most of them were quite definitive outside of the usual Complexity style late game showdown. (First three were all shorter than 35 minutes)
