Why does this keep happening?

I normally don't make posts like this but once again we see TSM opponents making plays that can be nothing short of just sheer stupidity honestly. For those who don't know here's the trend in TSM games (at least this split).

  1. TSM lose in game 1.
  2. TSM almost lose game 2 but due to the enemy team making a bunch of dumb mistakes in the mid-late game they make a come from behind victory.
  3. TSM win in game 3 (usually the reverse of game 1).

Honestly this is just very annoying and frustrating to see. I know that TSM is a good team and all but quite honestly I feel that this shouldn't happen. The only theory I can think of is that so many of their opponents just tunnel vision on baron and/or dragon and allow TSM to just pick them apart piece by piece which allows TSM to ultimately win the game.

In a way it's similar to Giants from the EULCS where in the 2017 spring split they always lose game 2 and only occasionally win game 1 and/or 3. Again I just have to ask why does this keep happening when it just quite honestly shouldn't?

My question to you in response is why do you even ask why it happens? And on that note, why express frustration over wins as a fan? Sure in a power ranking perspective based off of performance (not who wins) it makes them look weaker than the other top contenders across the world. But like last year, playoffs bring out TSM's better identity. It's often never the Spring Regular season that conclusions about the team should be drawn. It's normally how well they grind to playoffs, how they do from there, and what does the summer bring forth.

On another note, your frustration probably comes from how competitive the other teams are capable of being this split. From what I gathered, there's 2 or 3 clear cut tops and the rest of the league capable of snagging a game or series (similar to LCK). At the same time, it's neck and neck as the playoffs close in, bringing out more fire and finding out the studs and duds (like LPL lately). If you're a fan, just stay calm. Because every TSM game does this at least once on any kind of media board.

I personally didn't watch the TSM v IMT game or really had my 100% focus on just that game alone as I was also going back and fourth with the TL v NV game also but I can understand in some degree to what you are talking about. I do remember the TSM fight at Baron but Immortals were already in the pit and their base was pretty much gone so it was either try to run away from 2/3 TSM members and hopefully have enough IMT members to make a stand against either TSM getting the baron or IMT having the baron either way IMT would need to fight TSM sooner rather than later with or without the baron and like before their base was already gone.

Immortals gambled and lost but to say they didn't make mistakes is false they did however look strong against arguably #1/2 NA team at the moment.

off subject but since we are on the TSM subject -

The funny thing about TSM besides the 2016 season where during the Spring TSM sucked and during the Summer they were great, historically TSM actually does pretty well during the Spring Split having on average 32 min games, winning around 75-80% of their games but during their Summers they tend to just be complete opposites so as bad as TSM are now in some people's eyes gotta wait till next split. As many game three's as they've already been in which is like 9 out of 13 or so games, next split will be even more games just looking at their previous years and history possibly repeating itself.
