Am I illiterate or did Riot not follow their rule set?
According to the rulebook, there should've been a tie breaker between paiN Gaming and Counter Logic Gaming at the end of the day to break the tie. The rule set clearly state that if 2 teams are equal in wins, their head to head is first used to determine seeding (1-1 in this case), and otherwise they have to play a match at the end of the day of the group... So why wasn't there a tiebreaker?
Taken from the rule set :
If two teams are tied after the Group Stage, head to head record will be used as the first tiebreaker. If the two teams have an identical head-to-head record then the teams will play one tiebreaker game to determine final standings. Tiebreaker games will be played following the final game of the Group Stage for the respective group. Tied teams will compete against each other until there is a winner.
Side selection for all tiebreaker games will be determined by cumulative times of all the victories for the individual teams, even in a two-way tiebreaker. The superior seed will be given the selection.
EDIT : Final verdict is that we got robbed a game... Proof
