I Hoped Vaevisctus wasn't going to be hot garbage but...

When I first heard of Team Siren 2.0, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I had my worries but I decided to give them a chance. Just recently, one of their players posted a statement that wished for death to one of her own teammates on Vaevictus, and was issued nothing more than a 2 game ban from the LCL (relevant article linked below). I worried that Vaevictus would become another disaster and make female gamers look like an absolute mess, and a joke, and undeserving of respect. I think there's great potential for female gamers to break into eSports and I'm excited to see a true star break into the spotlight, but when people pull a stunt like Vaevictus or Team Siren, arrogantly taunting their male counterparts, and then falling flat on their face, I'm sorry but I have no sympathy to offer. It's disrespectful to all the legitimate girl gamers who actually take League of Legends seriously, and might actually have aspirations to be pros in League, and now they have to contend with the atrocious legacy of Team Siren and Vaevictus. It's a shame.

Vaevictus was outclassed and outskilled. They had no chance. Plus they were all kinda assholes

When I first heard of them, I knew they were gonna be a joke. When the thing with the "all support bans" game came around and that drama surfaced for them. I knew that they were going to get just as much, if not more hate and drama around them than Team Siren. The fact that they haven't won a game yet(or last time I checked they hadn't) just makes them more of a joke. The fact that all these women were diamond players was a joke IMO(yes they're 100X better than me) because most pros are in the top 3 divisions. Now, this has come up and now they have EVEN MORE drama around them. Teams a fucking joke, I myself would like to see an all-female team but if you're gonna put them in the pro league at the very least make sure they're in master, grandmaster, or even challenger.

At this point, I just don't care. Rank be damned; a Diamond team with an identity can outmatch higher. I hated that people shamed it for merely rank.

Unfortunately, that was still far from the case. In the end it was a messy PR stunt now decorated with hostilities among each other. This matter to me only puts more of a negative light on female players in League eSports; anyone who takes it further than that is over-reacting or doesn't know how other scenes portray the exposure.
