100T to Worlds. Yay?

Firstly, congratulations on a successful campaign. They played the game and achieved victory. Still, it kinda feels bad. They went 2-3 in playoff series with a game score of 7-11. Sadly, the salty TSM fanboys kinda have a point (TSM went 3-3 in series and 14-10 in games). But, everyone knew the rules at the beginning of the year and 100T goes. I just think it should be the 3rd seed. Why 3rd? I think the world tournament should be for champions. Teams that won something or had a signature win of some kind. As it stands, 100T's signature win is probably over Clutch, in the semi's of spring. Clutch, that didn't make playoffs in summer and attended their own execution in the gauntlet. Not terribly inspiring. Also, as the circuit points champ, their invite is based, mostly, on them adapting well to the shifting metas of the regular season. If they showed some of that in the play-in, the quality of the entire tournament may improve and not spend the first week of groups fumbling around with scaling comps and niche picks.

TL:DR I think everyone who qualified for worlds on points should go to the play in tournament and the gauntlet winners should go right to group stage.

Last year 7th place Spring Split Immortals literally made it to Worlds by just the 90 points of Summer and I don't remember anyone complaining about their position but rather praised how good they looked in recency. This sounds like poking at recency over consistency which is what the second spot for every major region rewards.
