An NA Split

Feel like a really interesting thing to do would be a east and west split for NA LCS. Sort of like how China had two separate brackets at one point for the LPL, I feel like riot could move to a larger franchise at some point by splitting into east and west and still keeping 8 to 10 teams for each of the two areas. This could greatly increase the discovery of talent now because you could host smaller tourneys sponsored by Riot at those arenas, you'd have more teams so of course more players and also making the NA region more competitive.

Once teams make it to playoffs you set up a bracket of quarterfinals, say top four teams from both areas and have one large playoff for North America. Not only would this give people a better sense of belonging by giving them teams near or around their hometowns, you get more content and more revenue in the long run. I doubt this will ever happen but it would be pretty awesome.

Sounds a bit complicated given the regional infrastructure and both its source and reliability of talent. Meeting the standards of the LPL is quite a far cry for most regions. The LPL built on its brand for years even before franchising. And the splitting formula has been dabbled upon by the EULCS at its time and the LPL, both to mixed reception from developmental timing.

I don't think that's something that'll work in NA. Straight up honest here.
