Jayce as adc?
Why do pro teams not consider jayce in the same vein as they did varus with his poke build? He's arguably better than what Varus used to be before his changes.

Well for one thing because he has short range and would get annihlated against these competent ardent censor bot lanes. Second, you can still have that poke by playing him top or mid and it is much more reliable. Third, if you play him bot you are basically just giving up mid to late game entirely. The metagame now requires strong ad marksman like tristansa, Kog, kallista, xayah, to make use of ardent censor. Bot lane Jayce would just be way too far of a downgrade over these champions. He might be able to burst the enemy ad down to 1/3 health, but ardent censor will just have them healed up by next wave.
In short they don't do it because you're almost losing on purpose by having a bot lane jayce instead of the other meta picks.
