This is exactly why ive stopped watching most lcs games. One team is trying to entertain the fans while the other is doing the same old boring picks. Kind of awkward though in a meaningless match when one team is blatantly trolling and the other is blatantly tryharding lol.
Saw the same thing to a much lesser extent in Vitality vs Unicorns. But in that game the Unicorns had to win. Vitality was locked in to its fate.
Really? These kind of games barely happen in the first place, especially on the caliber of what this series was! It's almost often during the last week where literally nothing is on the line and usually only in Europe anyway! If this is exactly your example of not watching most LCS games, then you must have a real thin pool of expectations as to how teams are meant to play or you don't watch as much as you think.
What's your point? This is a high level competition just because 1 team chooses to troll doesn't mean the other has to, nor was there an agreement to "TROLL". If it were me I'd be taking the match seriously especially if I want to prep for worlds or to just gather as much information on any opponent as I can. H2K did what they needed to do and they won. If anything Splyce disrespected and insulted H2K and all fans by giving such a pathetic game. I mean I'm assuming some of these people watching might have paid for the game in live and to get this? I would have just watched Twitch and picked any random streamer. It's the same for any other sport, people often ask what the point of playing for 2nd and 3rd is, well there are fans and people who took time out of their lives to actually watch a good game and to see their teams play to the best of their abilities.
