How come ssg and skt are not in lcs

The SSG roster now play under the name GEN G, and SKT were in the Korean regional qualifiers (4 teams that didn't win the LCK (KT Rolster) or have the championship points (Afreeca) to qualify played in the bracket) but lost to GEN G in round 1 https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/LCK/2018/Regional_Finals. GEN G ran the full gauntlet to qualify for worlds but the lost their group (Group B) to RNG and Cloud 9 https://www.lolesports.com/en_US/worlds/world_championship_2018/standings/groups. The former world champions went 1 win 5 losses in groups, it was a real shame :/

SKT wasn't good enough to make it to worlds past their own region, and all 3 Korean teams that did make worlds got absolutely demolished and shamefully obliterated by the West. Namely the two best Western teams in the world with C9 and G2.
