One Thing About the Final Game of the Championship

That game, and all of the games in the series, were awesome! Neither team won or lost off of poor balance or stupid stuff. And the games just felt good. However, one thing I noted is both supports finished the final, 50 minute game in which nearly everyone had 5-6 items and everyone was level 18 except both of the supports. Both of them were multiple items down and 4 levels down of everyone. Now, the items I understand. It is a reality that supports have less gold (although I feel like supports should still have full build at that late in the game). However, the 4 level disadvantage in such a late game is a little over the top. It seems like supports are just a little to underfed right now, even by support standards (although still infinitely better than s3 ward meta).

the removal of the xp mastery hurt support leveling a lot, maybe they will bring it back in the system as tier 2 choice during mid season

yeah, it is hard playing a tanky front-line support like braum/alistar when you dont have enough gold to buy tank stats and you are 4 levels behind so you dont get the base tank stats either.

That's how LCS meta works. In solo queue this doesn't happen as often.

Well that's because supports aren't there for the stats, they're there for the impact, presence, and vision. This is why Alistar and Braum are the top 2 supports right now. Alistar can tank insanely well without buying any items with his ultimate, while Braum can do the same with his shield.
