  1. Bjergsen- Has been called the Western Faker and the Best in NA!
  2. Reignover- The best Western jungler and really developing into the best Western player
  3. Doubelift- Hiatus or not once again split after split proves why he may very well be the Greatest Western ADC/ Hands down NA ADC.
  4. Impact- New jungler/ New synergy ? Interesting to see if Impact struggles this year.
  5. Aphromoo- Shotcalled 2 rookies and 2 aging players to a NA Finals which they won, MSI 2nd place behind SKT, and Worlds beating ROX.

Double-lift being on your list confuses me, as unless he does something ridiculously impressive in summer will that really compare to someone like Looper going at a decent pace over both splits (that is, assuming DL returns and doesn't just make his hiatus permanent)? I'm also going to guess that this list is "current" and not "all time", as no mention of players like Hai (who make bjerg's "achievments" look pitiful) make the list rather off.

I didn't know if it was a top 5 all time or just for this upcoming split wasn't sure. How does Hai's achievements makes Bjergsen's look pitiful? It's really hard for me to make a top 5 NA list for this upcoming split with players like Looper-Arrow-Ssumday-Chaser etc most likely going to miss 2-3 weeks of action if not more with some sort of visa issues.

NA Spring 2017 only top 5 1 Bjergsen 2 Reignover 3 Impact 4 Aphromoo 5 Arrow

NA All-Time List top 10

  1. Bjergsen
  2. Aphromoo
  3. Hai
  4. Doublelift
  5. Dyrus
  6. Sneaky
  7. Wildturtle
  8. Reignover
  9. Meteos
  10. Imaqtpie

If we're looking at total accomplishments, Hai's are not only more diverse but also consist of less talent around him. Excluding all the challenger series stuff, he's not only brought multiple C9 teams to worlds while playing 2 different positions (3 if you want to include spring of last year) but done so while battling massive injuries (whether it be that lung issue he suffered or the wrist issues that forced them to go nab jensen). Comparing him to bjerg is like comparing a monk to a raging viking. While the monk may offer some help on the battlefield, you'll almost always go with the viking as he'll typically rip plenty of peoples' faces off while being an overall pleasure to be around.

I agree to disagree but I 100% understand the debate and you do bring up great points.

  1. The injures are a great point and how Hai missed an All-Star in the past and how C9 asked for Link to sub in for Hai because of the lung issue as well as the wrist making him retire. However I'm not banking on injuries for Hai. Great player and arguably top 10 NA PERIOD! However he left because of injuries because he couldn't play maybe for a certain amount of time but the fact that he did indeed come back 2-3 times now if he does play in the Spring not only shows A. he is extremely passionate about C9 and the LCS but also B. the injures are not something to have someone say " oh if he didn't get hurt he would be X this good etc etc because of the amount of times he has came back shows that the injures were and aren't that severe. I UNDERSTAND his life was on the line with the lung issue I GET that but I look at it like a Brett Favre situation is all. { My point is if he keeps coming back injury or no injury he will and should be compared to other talents is all }

2014 Spring/Summer and 2015 Spring Hai won 11 times against Bjergsen with 1 Finals Bjergsen won 10 times against Hai with 2 Finals

Prior to the Bjergsen TSM trade Cloud 9 beat TSM 7 straight times in a row in the 2013 Summer/Playoffs. Once TSM made the trade in the 2nd meeting between the Hai and Bjergsen- BJergsen won.

Hai was also up in every Series against Bjergsen . 2014 spring up and swept TSM 3-0 . 2014 summer constantly up a game against TSM and even had TSM needing to win 2 games in a row just to win the Finals but would lose 2-3 . 2015 spring up again 1-0 but would lose 1-3 . 2016 spring as {Support} again up 1-0 but would lose 1-3

Bjergsen and Hai did the same thing as far as Worlds go.

Again- I 100% understand the topic but I personally believe Bjergsen is better than Hai. However I will again point out that Hai is a Great shotcaller and team leader for C9 and for really the E-Sports scene as an ambassador to the League.

Yeah, I think you're a bit off on a few of the concepts. I'm in no means using the injuries as a way of saying "oh, well if he didn't have them then he'd be x better than bjerg". What I'm trying to imply is that even with playing what is essentially a massive handicap (lung/wrist issues not nice) he's still able to perform equal if not better skill-wise than bjerg. It'd be like if we both decided to have a foot-race, but I was pushed back 10 ft. Even though we may both finish at about the same time there'd be an argument to be made that I was better as I covered more distance.

Unlike Bjerg, Hai has also had to adapt to far more different roles than him and has come in on teams that realistically had zero "shot" of doing much (like when he replaced meteos as their jg and took them from 9th to worlds, or when he came in as a support and had the team finishing about 3 spots higher than everyone else predicted). If we're looking just at who is the best NA mid-lane player, then it's a pretty tough call. Factoring in all the massive handicaps that Hai has dealt with though, it's kinda a no brainer that Hai is by far the best overall player.

True, True! Just have to wait and see what he has for this upcoming split. Wonder who he will have to replace him instead the other way around with a player on the team once he does poorly this next split cause I see it happening either because he can't handle the strain and the grind or he just does poorly adjusting to mid again.

If the C9C thingy really wants to replace him, then there are still a few high-quality players out there (imports being a pretty good option as if they stick with balls/altec/lemon then they can bring in import jg/mid and still be "legal" ). If I had to choose, I'd nab selfie and try to get meteos as that'd eliminate the whole "english barrier" problem teams typically have with korean imports while also fielding the strongest team possible.

Yeah who will be the C9C Jungler? I thought maybe Meteos at first but I don't think Meteos and Hai really like playing on the same team anymore.

If hai moves to the coaching role (which I still think is the most likely option in all of this, with him saying he wanted to retire yet the new owner still taking his contract), it could open up the door for meteos. Outside of him though, it's really a tough call as to who they'd bring in. Shrimp/rush are both options but come with massive risks (both being highly aggressive), procxin could also be an emergency-option as I'd rank him lesser than the aformentioned ones due to the fact that he seems to make 3 terrible plays for one semi-useful one.

Darshan really? May I ask why? I'm not talking shitt just really want to know why you do have Darshan as a top 5 NA players. Either as a top 5 NA of all time or just a top 5 NA players for this upcoming split.

If we are talking all time, I think Hai deserves a mention. His leadership of Cloud9 during their early years was invaluable to C9 and also to NA as a whole. He really did more for the NA scene than most people think.
