Draft a Worlds Caliber NA Team

Inb4 NA lul, NA Worlds Caliber Lul etc...

So the discussion is, if you could send any 5 players in NA on a dream team of sorts to compete in Worlds (and let's say they had been together for an entire split), who would it be and what's their team name? :) Only players that you can't use are imports who have been in NA for less than one entire split.

I think I'm going with:

Top: Darshan Jungle: Lira Mid: Bjergsen ADC: Sneaky? Support: Smoothie

I actually don't know who i'd want in my adc spot so I just picked Sneaky since they already have experience together and since he has international experience. Sooo tell me yours and show me I'm wrong! :)

Top Darshan - I'v always been a fan of Darshan and while he may not be "the" best this split so far to many fans, you gotta give the man the respect he deserves. Whenever he's on stage for big games he does well, 2014 vs TSM he TP'd and was the main reason why DIG beat TSM in the first game(Nasus backdoor). 2015 TP play against TL to eliminate them from Playoffs in which Darshan/CLG would eventually beat TSM to win back to back Championships( something that hadn't been done since C9 back in 2013 summer - 2014 Spring. Many.... many more TP plays to help his team win games, I feel like Dyrus/Darshan should be in the same category as the best top lane players in NA history, however, Darshan isn't done with his career so he could pass Dyrus as he makes his way to 1K Kills.

Jungle Svenskeren - While Sven may not be the flashiest, or most appreciated jungler in the LCS today, he has a great mentality to help when people need help during games. He goes in and either he kills the enemy or he dies to either save his teammates, or sacrifices himself to save them in the process. Also, my mid is a key reason on why I also say Sven among the other junglers in the scene at the moment.

Mid Bjergsen - Let's real here for a minute, Bjergsen will go down as the greatest MID player in NA history and most likely in the Western Scene also. All this guy does is win, 1-2 MVP Awards, multiple All-Stars, 4 NA Championships, over 1K in kills, the most kills in the Western scene, never really seem to lose lane ever. Does he have some negatives about him sure, not the best teamleader-shotcalling a little weak, but I feel like if someone else respected enough does 70% while Bjerg does say 30% of the shotcalling, he's the perfect choice.

ADC Doublelift - I don't give a * what people say about Kills/stats/reputation etc, I think Doublelift is the greatest ADC in the Western scene bar NONE! He has proven he can shotcall and with Bjergsen who also wins lane and can give his voice and shotcall having Double is a clear cut choice.

Sup Aphromoo - Back in 2014 Bjergsen had a team in soloQ that he would play with and those videos can still be found with Darshan/Oddone/Aphormoo and sometimes Santorin. In which honestly, those games were fun to watch and also the synergy between them was also electric; they just clicked at times. Having Apho and D-Lift back in lane in which they were the best duo lane in NA for a better part of 3 years, is another clear cut chocie.

  • One of many I'm sure on why NA typically falls short at Worlds each year is honestly - Communication - Having a team of Bjergsen/D-Lift and Aphromoo with players such as Darshan/Sven who are 2 of the top "team" oriented players in NA at the moment helps out too.
    Just my thoughts/ Great topic/post

I'm going based purely on this splits performances alone.

Top - Ssumday - He has really brought the A Game that has kept Dig dangerous and not just a mid tier stepping stone.

Jungle - LirA - His stats are just disgusting, and he dies a lot less than some other top junglers.

Mid - Bjergsen - I would have placed Jensen here....if he would ever actually roam or actually push down his lane. Everyone else is far enough behind.

ADC - Cody Sun - He has been the most consistent of the best this split, with DLift and Sneaky having consistency issues for the first half of the split.

Support - Biofrost - This was more about eliminating the field than one standing out clearly. Aphromoo and Olleh are great, but each die a lot and force plays too much sometimes. Smoothie isn't as gold efficient and struggled alongside Sneaky, and Hakuho just hasn't been as consistent or capable as Bio.
