I'm new to LoL (2 weeks-ish), and I just bought Riven today. Played her in some bot matches, then pvp, and I'm having a lot of fun with her. I go to the store to look through what skins Riot has for her and none of them really grab my attention (maybe the arcade Riven, though). But then, I see the most glorious skin... Dragonblade Riven! I instantly knew it'd be worth to buy that skin!

Alas, my more seasoned brethren, as you already know, said skin is no longer sold. So now... now I mourn.

You can get it from hextech crafting.

Compared to other things? Nah. I get legacies all the time.

Its just the odds of you getting it vs another one are pretty small.

Quite unfortunate huh? Ironically, in my case, it's because I got Dragonblade Riven I bought her :P Well, you could get it via hextech crafting, or wait for next year... If you do decide on hextech crafting, I wish you luck.

Lucky you, that skin is way too good. Maybe my luck will get me it through hextech then. I got Elementalist Lux from a 5 bundle two dasy ago :)

It comes back into the stores once a year. You missed the event fairly recently though so I think you have like 10 months.

Yeah, it happens. If they didn't move skins out of the store it would get overcrowded. It also raised the value of skins for old players who have hard to get skins. At least we get some of them back for events.
