Laziness on Riot or just hate?

Oki Riot I'm starting to really get upset with you guys and actually quite offended because in hardly any of your videos you put in LMQ are they not on the same Level as everyone else? What is the reason behind this is it because you guys are too lazy to get a translater or something because this is complete discrimination to LMQ you interview every team after their games except LMQ you have interviewed them only a handful of times. To me I find this quite racist because it seems because they are a full chinese team you don't want them here and this is your way of showing that. I'm very offended because every team gets their say so in videos except LMQ in almost all your videos even your most recent one this needs to change. you cant just keep leaving out the best team in NA because they are chinese. Doubt most people will agree with me on this but lets be real we need fairness and you

I'm not sure what I expected when I read the title of this thread, but what have we as Riot done to warrant accusations of racism or hate out of the blue like this? Do you feel that it's a more effective way of getting our attention / an answer to your query, or do you genuinely believe that we as a company would want to sabotage an LCS team?

I feel like riot should not of responded to this thread. The OP has not posted anything close to proof and is just acting out like he would in GD cause he can. He is doing the "IN THING" saying things that he feels and has no information on.

Since you were baited in, mineaswell give some response to your question.

While I don't think Riot is in any way racist against LMQ, I do believe that they have intentionally left LMQ out of many of their video productions and post game interviews because of the difficulty it would cause them, translation wise. I was shocked last week when after both of LMQs wins, they didn't get even one interview. Meanwhile, every other NA team gets an interview after their win. Just seems pretty biased due to the language barrier. Seems there should be a translator on site to help you translate if Riot is going to let the rules stay as they are and just let any import team continue to come into the NORTH AMERICAN LCS.

To your second point. Does the League community genuinely believe that you would sabotage an LCS team? Umm....yea. Have you seen Gambit? That weekend in London screwed them over so hard. You didn't even give them time to get Visas. There's a thing in business where you let those inside know information before you release it to the public. Gambit should have known about this right after All Stars, not two weeks before the event. And now you've put EU LCS in LA. Good luck getting Gambit in town for that. Do you even comprehend how difficult it will be for a Russian team to get Visas to the US after recent events?

And that doesn't even go into the topic of Alex Ich and NIP having to get to LA as well.

You may not intentionally do it, but Riot sabotages a lot of teams because of poor communication. There is absolutely no reason that LCS teams should find out information about scheduling at the same time fans do. Period. If they're going out of the country for a weekend, they should know in a good time to get their visas. They should know when they're playing and who they're playing. I would tell them all the information they need to plan accordingly, or at least tell their management.

Maybe you don't sabotage LCS teams intentionally. But Riot is far from professional in how they treat their teams.

Not really trying to get riot attention with it. Definitely not saying you would want to sabotage and LCS team I just stating how I feel about it how it seems that LMQ seems to be the only team left out of most interviews as well as the VODs. I'm just stating an opinion not saying it's fact.

Why don't we ask the team themselves if they are feeling discriminated against or otherwise offended before we start laying down claims of racism and hate. Are there any tweets, social media or other areas we can confirm that LMQ feels left out?

If not it really seems like laziness on riots half to get a translator and thank you for reading the whole post. I do understand what you are getting at but I really do feel offended by this because why does every other team get a say so in these video interviews except for them you know what I mean and like the after game analysis I would love to hear what the players of LMQ have to say about the game and what they are thinking at certain points of the game like last week the baron steal on CLG I want to know what they were thinking and what they were saying to each other to make it work ya know?

Teams are responsible for having their own translator if they want to give interviews. In EU people either speak english or have a team translator to assist(or team mate). Do not expect that NA would have different rules than EU.

Also LMQ does/did have a translator, if LMQ decided to terminate their contract with this person it is no ones business. Their also may be Visa issues for there translator and had to leave the states at this time.

Point is things happen, and unless you have proof that they are being discriminated against you should hold your mouth. Throwing around words like racist without proof is just bad form.

Before accusing RIOT of being lazy about translators, maybe you should ask why a translator is needed in the first place. LMQ plays in the NA server, they should at least put an effort to actually use the language of the server. If anyone is being lazy, it is them.

And before you say it, no I don't have any prejudice here. I actually really enjoy watching LMQ play, just like I enjoy watching SKT T1 and all the other teams in the LCS, OGN, etc. I just feel it is a little disrespectful that a team representing the American server can't actually speak English.

As for the interviews, have you considered the players them selves don't like speaking publicly? They are from a different culture, maybe RIOT is simply being respectful of the Team's wishes. Don't jump to conclusions or make inflammatory insinuations so foolishly.

This may be true but they are trying to learn english I know I went and actually got to talk with them at the LCS. They have stated since they are on the NA and representing NA they are going to learn english.

Including a translator would drastically increase the amount of time you'd have to spend on an interview to cover the same ground. Maybe Riot's decided that they don't have the time between matches to interview LMQ adequately, or don't want all of their interviews with LMQ to be super shallow and brief.

They said that they "expect[ed] to end up near the top," which to me sounds like they assume that our region isn't as high performing as LPL, GPL, or OGN. The fact that a team can migrate to NA because they assume that we will not challenge them as thoroughly slightly offends me. Many people look down on North America as the slum of pro gaming, and I do not think we deserve that. We work hard, and I support Dignitas, Cloud9, Team Solo Mid, CounterLogic Gaming, CompLexity, Curse, and even Evil Geniuses.

I do not support LMQ as much as others in NA because it feels like they have no loyalty to their own nationality. Appearances mean a great deal subconciously to us as a species, and it doesn't make a team look good when they drop out of their league to join ours.

**You may ask: Why support EG then? ** The answer is that the LCS is actually a joint operation. EULCS and NALCS are two halves of the same coin; same rules, same governing body, same fans.

If TSM or any other LCS team moved to another league, I would give them the same treatment; it has nothing to do with country of origin, rather, everything to do with loyalty
to country of origin.

Also, attacking Riot is unwarranted and ineffective. They're great guys and they work hard to get a game to us that we can enjoy.

Well they had to work hard to get into challenger and make it through the whole CS in order to make it into the LCS. I mean I see what you mean by being disrespectful by them saying they expected to end up near the top but most teams that come in make that assumption all the time ya know? I mean it can be seen as disrespect or just confidence in their team.

I can see your point on that but I mean people are free to do as they please just like EG. I understand what you mean by that but still they are doing just the same by leaving EU where their nationality lies. But I do understand because LCS is both EU and NA.

So my question is what is your opinion on teams like EG and TSM who brought over players from the OGN?

Not trying to attack riot just putting out my opinion.

One last thing I appreciate how you answered my topic with legit points and with respect thank you very much for that.
