Why don't proplayers play Flex Queue?
Is it because it would be too easy for them? On paper it looks like a perfect way to practice for them, much better than Solo Queue. It would also be more fun for their viewers if they stream or post videos.

There's only a certain amount of Challenger/pro players in the scene so lack of amount + teams plays a factor. Higher elo players already wait 30+ mins to get a Q from 9 solo randoms, just imagine how long it would take for two groups of 10.
Many players play "Solo Q" more so than Flex in theory because they're more focused on themselves and their own mechanics oppose to playing as a team.
Anther side is if you've ever played high school basketball where after drills you and your teammates face 5v5 for an hour or so and the next hour was "free time" many players didn't go back to playing 5v5 etc but instead, played horse, tips, 21 etc, games that were about "them" and self focused to build confidence. You also gotta look at it in a sense after scrims( team focused) which hearing from players about 8 hrs a day( 7X a week) + LCS games tend to play a factor that many players don't want to hear from X teammate more than they want/should.
Cabin fever but league standards.
