New-old Laneswap strategy?

Hi everybody!

Today I watched some S3 worlds games and noticed the duo-lane-to-mid laneswap tactics. Could this provide an advantage? This way the duo lane can easily get to Dragon and Rift Herald as well. If the solo laners run Teleport, this could lead to unrivaled objective control in the early game. Not to mention the insane mid pushing power if there's a won 3v3, 4v4, even 5v5 early.

Thoughts on these?

Now that ADC's can hold their own a little better i can totally see this as a viable tactic. Then the support could also roam for ganks with the jungler or even go off for a gank himself.
