ESPN Boss Declares eSports 'Not A Sport'

Please give me five minutes of your time and read this post to the end, thank you MOBA's are becoming something more than a video game, more than just a common call of duty or a new halo. The MOBA games (League of Legends the most) are becoming more and more of a real sport. If you live on another planet or just have high ping, more people watched the League of Legends 2015 world championship the final of the American super ball in the same year. Honestly, I have to say, some sports leagues like the NBA can learn a few things from how riot organises the leagues. First of all, if you want to go and play pro basketball, you have to go and join a big, known team. In MOBAs on the other hand, all you need is to be good, just find a team of good players and climb with them to the top. Or join a big and known team like Fnatic or SK Telecom 1. Another thing and probably the last I'm going to talk about today is how most of the 35+ adults see esports. Men or women with no gaming experience just see league, smite or DOTA as overly crowded pong games... but we can change it.

right now one of the biggest problems of the MOBA games is that, its only for PC. I know, it sounds funny, but let's think for a second. To play, let's take League for that matter, you need to have a good internet connection, a good to OK PC, and to spend a lot of time learning the game. In most other sports all you need is a ball and....that's it. If we can get some MOBAs to have console versions, all the player will need to do is sit on his couch and see the tutorial. SMITE is doing a very big (and good) step towards that further, the just realised an XBOX version of the game. If we can get League and DOTA to realise simpler versions of the games to console we can introduce MOBAs to so many more players, just think about it

if you don't agree, please tell me why but still upvote this, everyone should at least think about it.

thank you for reading everything, have a cooky item 2010

league would not work period on a console, smite does only because of the way it plays

Would not work, you would be held back by the controller's interface

I think it could work but it would have to be with some sort of mouse and keyboard set up. Consoles and pcs are becoming very similar so it could work. Good point though!
