RNG 3-3 TSM 3-3 is why is RNG going to worlds and not TSM? wheres the tie breaker?

so if SSG gets to play RNG in semi RNG loses becasue SSG already won 2-0 no this is LoL every single game matters. how many Bo5 do teams swing 0-2 and end 3-2 to win it? this is weak bullshit. rrecords show RNG(3-3)-TSM(3-3) a tie breaker should be required for a (4-3) moving on.

They didn't play best of 5s. They played single matches. The rules state that if two teams end up in a tie, whoever holds the head to head edge wins the tie.

This has been around in sport tournaments for quite a while.

Not to mention that RNG beat them twice. It wouldn't be exactly fair to let TSM have one more chance...and if they win RNG would be 2-1 vs TSM and the team with the losing head to head moves on.

and TSM beat SSG and RNG lost to spy. if its single matches and every match counts 1 win is the win. records show the teams are tied. break the tie.

Then they shouldn't have even done more matches and just put RNG through, why even break it up this way if it all you have to do is win first week against your rival and then do exactly equal second week and get a pass.... either dumb match layout or dumb rules. Why do we even have a wild card screw it all right?

Because if TSM won their total wins would have beaten out the head-to-head record and put them through. The head-to-head rule only applies in case of a tie.

don't know how it is in US, but, at least for the sport I play here, if there is a tie at the end of the competion (here group stage) head to head are the first step to chose who is the winner

Also, if I remember good, there was also a tie during NA lcs for a spot in playoff where head to head system was used instead of consistency, poeple didn't complain that much at that time (doing it now because it's tsm and not a minor team isn't really logic :s)

thats what a lot of people are saying. but thats still pretty shitty because the lost in the past they don't get a tie breaker when if it was a different team they would get the tie breaker. And i'm not sure about na lcs summer split. if there was a tie i'm guess it was with C9 so will have to look it up.

they didnt "just lose to RNG" they lost evertime they faced em.... YOU want a tie breaker? then EARN it... win ONE of TWO matches and you'll get it... cant win EITHER then u lose the head2head... simple ANX and ROX had their tiebreaker...wanna know why? cuz they both won 1 match against each other... really a simple understanding of the rules.. it clearly says this is a best of 1 and youll face each other 2 times.. all you gotta do is 50% for a tie breaker...

but hey at least we had a good run this year and 2017 we'll be back again, hopefully all here and stronger than ever! ~TSM TSM TSM

if its best of 1, then past doesn't matter, best of 1 says they are a tied record, best of 3 says RNG won. regardless, this rule needs to be changed next year. 3-3 in and 3-3 out shouldn't happen. with this set up, if any other team was in TSMs spot there would be a tie breaker but since it was TSM who lost twice there is not one. if spy won their games it would be a tie breaker. Thats the problem with this stupid edge rule

Because there is no real tie. RNG has a 2-0 record vs. TSM. That means they effectively edge TSM on any rankings where the 2 would share a ladder slot. TSM flies home, like a lesbian seagull.

If they have such an edge why not 3-0 tsm, make tsm play them twice and see if it 2-2 in this crap 3-3 vs 3-3 "edge"

They weren't tied in head-to-head matches, RNG won the two other games they played against TSM

winning records for moving on shows 3 wins 3 loses for both teams. So with this edge rule if it was any other team than TSM there would have been a tie breaker, well that sounds fucked up

There is no 100% completely fair tournament format. No matter what you do, there will be some pros and cons to each. This tournament format was established, and was used in previous years, and every team knows that. You can't just go and change the tournament layout because your favored team didn't win.

best of 1s, equal records play a tie breaker. sounds pretty fair, oh wait if you lost to that team no tie breaker because every game in lol is the same.. edge is the only unfair rule in this format.
