(Updated) Prediction: S. Korea will win...again

Even before Worlds was underway, I could tell from the video for the latest theme song (which is pretty lame compared to the themes from the last two years ["Warriors" by Imagine Dragons and "Worlds Collide" by Nicki Taylor]) that the Summoners' Cup won't be leaving its current continent any time soon. Given how the group stage turned out, my prediction (without watching the playoffs) is that South Korea will win yet again (yawn). Therefore, my guess for the finals will be at least one Korean team and either another Korean team or one ~~Chinese~~ European team.

EDIT: Had to redo the post and poll because someone spoiled the playoff results so far. Therefore, I'm adding emphasis to that part.

EDIT 2: Please DO NOT comment on who is in or out. I will be checking on this thread, so I'd like to wait 'til it's all over before I see who eventually won.

Winning ~67% of all Worlds Championships is the deal. Beyond a Korean team, there have been only two other winners from elsewhere (Fnatic from EU, and TPA from SEA). S. Korea has won every single one since without looking back.

On a related note, the IOC kicked baseball and softball from the Olympics a few years ago because they believed the US won too much (not saying it will happen to League, because that's an irrelevant point, just the fact that the US team was so dominant over everyone else).

Competition is about finding out who is the best. Worlds is short for World Championship.

Therefore, isn't the point to see what team is the World Champion? Not kick teams out because they put the time and effort into being the best. If you do, you're corrupting competition. You're choosing entertainment over skill. Ratings over the game.

The frustration shouldn't be directed at Riot, Korea or the region. It should be at the other teams. Why does CLG choke all the time, or keep Huhi? Why does TSM not understand how to play against anything foreign? Why doesn't C9 practice more? Etc.

Korea has a playstyle that seems to work against anyone. NA and EU seem to only have a system to defeat their own region. They need to adapt and practice harder/more. Korea doesn't win due to any natural genetic advantage. They just have more discipline and care more. It's fair Korea wins every year when they are the ones putting the most effort in.

Be angry at NA and EU for not trying. For those teams, being the best in their region makes them happy. In Korea, being the best in the world is what really matters and it shows.

Don't talk to me like I'm new, you moron. I don't care who wins, just let it be someone other than South Korea for once. "Being happy for being the best in the region" is a stupid argument because everyone's trying to play for the world title. You make it sound like every other team outside of KR and China is simply too lazy (sorta like a certain "President" regarding the US as a whole).

They are. Why does Korea dominate all the time? It's not genetics lol. Korea practices the hardest, and tries the most. Not like they load up a team of OP champs and ban out the others. Pick order guarantees that. You clearly do care since you have someone you don't want winning.

Until the other regions decide to give half a crap internationally, S. Korea will rightly dominate the scene. But, worlds is nice because I love watching the top quality league that Worlds provides, and being an SKT fan, love watching the war machine that is that team in game.

Can't really say that EU has a system that works only regionally. Granted, this year isn't the best one for them but they've shown that they can beat every region except Korea. NA I agree with you though

Idk, I don't ever see EU do anything significant. H2k may have gotten some distance, but overall they still fall short.

Honestly Korea and China are the only two consistent powerhouses, mainly Korea.

You can't say that you haven't seen EU do anything significant and then go and say China is a power house. China, just like EU ( I don't count season 1 for obvious reasons) has never won a world championship, and if you want to count all of the other tournaments (IEM, MSI...), I'm pretty sure EU has more trophies then China. I definitely agree about Korea, but I've never seen what the hype about china was about

Korean/Korean, of course. Odds that H2K will take down SSG, zero. SSG looks amazing. They've dropped one game so far, and since then they've been on fire.
