Monte roasted Riot on his new Video I would post a link but Riot would probably close this thread just because it is a link and they don't want to this to be up, but basically Marc Merrill is trying to call people out on mistreating talent and not paying players enough, mean while Riot Games will not let Casters within their org to go out and do other jobs, nor do they get compensated for IEM and they have a flat fee, meaning someone who does MSI and Worlds gets paid the same as someone who doesn't. Casters from CS:GO to Overwatch are all freelance meaning not only are they not charged a flat rate, they also get to do other jobs, Riot casters all CAN NOT monetize things like YouTube or Twitch according to Monte and that is quite believable considering I don't see any casters with Twitch subs OR big YouTube channels. I highly suggest anyone who cares about a healthy eSports scene for League of Legends, and anyone who wants to stop the double standards of Marc Merrill and Riot Games, to check out the video.

I watched it, and it seems like Marc's statement stems from an interview Scarra had with Reginald about the way Riot handles patches, particularly leading up to playoffs and worlds and how it can be detrimental to teams who have been practicing countless hours to git good at a certain way of playing, IE lane swapping.

Last year we saw it with the so called "Juggernaut" patch and this year its with this "first brick" patch. It's unbelievable. It's almost like Riot WANTS to and ENJOYS screwing people over.

You guys don't like boring casters, well here's a tall pale dude who speaks like a boring robot coming right atcha!

I mean, how can you attract new talent with the crap you put your talent through. What's left I guess is boring robots and former pros who can't get any other gig cuz guess what? You dedicated your life to League and now you have to live with those consequences.

At any rate, Monte's roasted Riot twice previously, and he really has a good reason to bear a grudge considering how he and his team were treated. I've already promised never to spend another cent on anything Riot related, so the only thing left for me to do is to finally cut out the 3-4 games I play a week because my buddy begs me to.

Good Day Mark, you're a real RIOT
