Believe it was said by her team that she would leave sometime after the season would start if they made it to the lcs. I saw somewhere that she said she'd be leaving back in october/november, they just didn't say when.

She has some random stuff on her Twitter as well. She just didn't think she could perform at a professional level, but could come back at some point in the future.

"Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right"

Can't compete if she doesn't have the confidence to do it regardless of skill.

It is sad Remi left, someone should have shown her footage of nRated or Hai doing support. Remi should have realized she has room to grow into a top level support.

That being said, it's kinda understandable that she's a bit rattled from this. Look at the stats, and you'll see that her team is just doing terrible (just with KDA alone, every one of their players is in the bottom 5 of that standing barring freeze). Being forced to play with 4 different ADC's in the past 6 months must also be rather unnerving. At the end of the day though, her just being in the LCS is another brick being removed from the giant wall of gender inequality that exists in society. [slayer-jinx-catface]

Pretty sure Remi wasn't the first female pro player. A long time ago pretty sure on the road to season 2 worlds there was this random no name team like Black Bean or Iceland who had a female support player. She underperformed so badly they subbed her out halfway through the best of 3 format.

I remember the sub name was Kungpung though.

Remi is the 1st female pro player? When did this happen? I thought it was a guy identifying them self as a girl.
