Well Done Riot

Quit league, dropped by for a few games half a year ago. Basically haven't been playing for over a year.

Suddenly, I'm interested in League again. You've done a hell of a job with e-sports. It's so well done/polished, while the game - when played expertly - is entertaining to watch. It's become similar to FIFA for me. Back in the day, I used to watch/play football all the time. Now I only watch the world series. To actually get a video game that embedded in my head is pretty damn impressive.

Some of the stuff I'm seeing is hilarious though, like "Prime-time". Meanwhile, that "My Picks" thing is pretty cool. I didn't participate in it actively last year, but I think I will now. The spectacle is hit and miss, but tremendous overall. So tremendous, that I actually felt I should make this post. Well done. =)

I didn't even know about the pick 'em thing last year, but this year they are giving out an icon for participating, and CS Riven for perfect picks :3

Yeah, pretty cool. ^^

Like some other post mentioned however, it would be more interesting to get better or universally appreciable rewards. The top prize could even be "worth" less, but still be "better". For example, ward skins. Every single player would be interested if the design is to their taste. Riven however, regardless of how popular the champion may be, is a very narrow choice. I didn't even own Riven.

I'm just going to do it as a gambling thing, make bets with friends, etc. If I were still playing, my only interest in the rewards would be the first icon. xD

Plus they made top laners strong for worlds after so long w/ no room to shine top. They just wanted to feel special to.

I agree.

Same thing happened to me. I was not playing at all, but kept watching the official matches and international championships. I wonder why other companies don't do the same (i.e: Nintendo/Smash Bros. or Capcom/StreetFighter). It would definitely not get as big as LOL, but smash has a reasonable good amount of specs and tourneys, even without moving a finger.
