I feel really bad for CLG
They lost fair and square. But CLG was having the best year they ever had and lost this badly.

I'll be brutally honest (sorry if anyone involved with the team reads this). CLG's early game was pretty good each game, but as soon as they met their lane match-ups they were obliterated due to sheer mechanical outplays from Liquid and general incompetent decision making from CLG. Numerous times throughout all the games CLG choose to enter into bad team fights and did not respect the damage that was coming at them. Additionally, their pick/bans were questionable and they placed doublelift on a low range ability based carry twice even though Liquid always had a strong frontline tank. In summary, CLG just wasn't worthy of their playoff spot; they went on tilt too easily, which is something you don't see with mature developed teams.
Sigh... Im so disapointed in them.
I'm done rooting for them, every year the same thing.
It's not CLG's fault. Liquid's curse is they must come in fourth.

anyone else think TL was just hustling them? Playing bad most of the season to give them a false sense of confidence despite the fact they have a World's winner in their team... pretty sneaky.
Well they only had the year they had because Zion Sparten put them on his shoulders...Doublelift and Aphromoo get caught out all the time in stupid situations and in this series it cost them...Xsmithy would like stand on a ward for like a minute waiting for a gank and then after a min decide "huh, maybe I should use my sweeper...hey look a ward" and then they would plan a gank, but wait until Zion was bursted down to 1 hit left and then go in when they were standing in a bush right next to him...now Zion can't go back in and TL just killed the others...so a 2 v 3 with you having the surprise and all the cc becomes a 2 v 1 and then a 3 v 2 flipped around as Dominate shows up just as they decide its about time they went in...Zion is really the only really good player they have in my opinion and 1 person can only take the team so far...
Honestly I was kind of expecting this to happen. They weren't looking great during the second half of the split and they still haven't fixed one major flaw they have, Teamfighting, literally the only one that can engage properly is Aphromoo when he is on someone like Thresh. Zion, Xmithie, and Link, cannot engage teamfights at all so CLG looks like a clusterfuck without Aphromoo engaging.
Been a CLG fan for 3 years and every year is the same shit. I dont expect them to win 1st place but god damn, BE TOP 3 AT LEAST
No matter what I'm still rooting for CLG. It's still really sad to see them make so many misplays, but regardless I still love them and always will.
CLG just flat out played poorly.
Eh CLGs always been the underdog and always will be. That's part of their quirky appeal.
I might stop being a fan if they ever do win a split / major tourney. I just don't know how I'd handle something that uncharacteristic of them.
their draft phase was arguably bad, and their teamfight hasnt been that great for a while. 2 things that mean you auto-lose Bo5 series.
CLG choked in a playoff game. CLG always choke in the playoffs. Every year - every time.
Their spectacular performance this year is irrelevant. Their draft and shotcalling were both super bad because CLG can't win playoffs. The curse is real.
Didn't like CLG's vlad pick, but then on the third game Liquid picked him mid. kek
I think CLG played like always, but the Liquid somehow obtained the essence of Star Horn/Royal Club and step up their game.
Well, when you blow all your imprtant cooldown just to try tacking down a full tank nunu, and doing it multiple times, you deserve to lose :s
Also, their jungler seems to not be able to play in the tank meta
Two things I saw in those games that disappointed me.
They haven't adapted their pick/ban phase to 5.5 yet and we're already on 5.6. Y NO TANK BUSTER
Link is playing awful. They should have subbed Alex Ich onto their line up for the playoffs; I saw him sub for TDK the other week, he's in the US.
Their jungler sucked too, but how do they expect to win a match with a collapsing mid lane and an AD carry who is on a utility champ like Sivir. ZionSpartan is a strong player but top doesn't have enough agency in a game to fix that.
