Disappointed in Immortals performance

Had hopes for immortals getting out of groups, but they completely fell flat. Where did all the confidence go? claiming they were best NA team at worlds etc.. They played with a lack of aggression and seemed to settle for safe laners instead of play making champions.

Pobelter was especially disappointing as he spent 3 games passively farming and letting the enemy mid laner dictate the pace. He had next to zero presence on the map. I feel like they should look for a new mid lane talent coming next year.

They were forced to play 4 games in 1 day... Pretty sure they got tilted for the day after that loss to urgot.

Exactly. Just like GAM upset FNC, GAM super upset IMT. IMT didn't even have any time to process that and move forward. It was the worst possible draw starting this long day.

Compared to other teams, I feel like they lack group synergy. Olleh and Flame seem to be the only consistent players. Everybody knows that Cody Sun is a tier below all the other ADC's. Pobelter definitely got punked around. C9 and TSM are a lot more solid.

Olleh and Flame are the only ABOVE AVERAGE player. If anything, Pob and Cody performance in week 1 should hvae been considered an anomaly

Hell no. Pobelter has been a solid mid this season. Flame has been forgettable ever since Rift Rivals. He farms up and does good in lane then is just a body doing a tad bit of damage or CC in team fights. If his shallow champion pool isn't in an OP state, he's average at best, and a waste of an import slot.

Flame at his peak was all about out CS ing his opponent not leaving lane for majority of the game and finally carrying the game, he is basically like Fnatic reckless but from carry top. It just does not work in this meta atleast not for anyone other than LZ

Pob and Cody are consistent good performance players never too good never too bad until week 2 of groups happened

Answering to both of you. How they perform in NA does not matter when assessing their strength in International scene. Flame and Olleh are the only above average guys from a mechanical point of view. Xmithie is probably the best control jungler coming from a Western team this World (and likely in the previous one too), but his mechanics are really sub par. You got to hope his mechanics are decent enough to make his other skills work...He is a very poor version of last season of Bengi in SKT. Pobelter is consistent but just below average mechanically at World level, Cody is a rookie with potential but is still below average mechanically at international level.

Week 2 team synergy and mechanical skills matter, and Flame/Olleh are the only one which performances depend from theirselves and not adversaries underperforming

I feel like xmithie & pobelter are the stable ones in the team, the rest are hit or miss

Losing to GAM first has to put you in a bad mindspace. It was a very bad draw for them to get them first game.

Flame and xSmithie can't carry the bot lane Pobeltor did not do anything bad but he also didn't do anything good. It was just meh

Also, the bot lane didn't perform good despite having a good draft. Their opponents knew that the bot lane was not performing as usually so they targeted their shot caller XSmithie. It worked
