We don't currently have plans to add a random button. I haven't been aware there was demand for this feature though so I'd like to know more about it and how it helps. I assume you have one or a few champions that you collect skins for and have a hard time picking? If you have more friends that feel the same way I'd like to know that too :D

I would love a random button! I became a Nasus scrub since I started and got all his skins and chromas, sometimes I have a hard time picking between being dapper, a demon dog, or using Riot K-9. How hard would it be to add one?

Yes, I have several actually. I think it would be a neat albeit small feature to add, and from what I've seen on Reddit, quite a couple of people also think it's pretty cool!

As somebody who owns well over 200 skins due to love of cosmetics, I've always wanted a random skin feature for the times where I can't decide between any of the skins. Visuals are large part of why I stick around the game, so it'd honestly mean a lot.

This'd be a pretty cool feature, although it makes me think it shouldn't just be a random button. For stuff like courier skins and announcers, DOTA 2 allows you to create a "pool" of what you own, which'll be randomly picked from at the start of each game. If it's not too much trouble, I think I'd prefer such a feature to also have the option to create your own "pool" for random to pick from, so you can decide if it can randomly pick the default skin, or if you just have all the skins of a champion but only like a couple you can make sure you don't get rolled one you don't like.

Will there be a chance to set our profile background with our favorite champ and not with the most frequently played champ? I hate to see shen (nothing personal with shen mains, it's just an example D:) as my profile background just because i wanted to have fun with him instead of my loved mains like Jhin, Elise or Draaaaaven? Speaking seriously, i think letting us to choose our champ background (and maybe their respective skins) is a way to make your profile more "unique" and more "personal". If you haven't considered this, then please do it. Thnx

Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere else, but will we be able to reorder our Rune and Mastery pages without completely tearing them apart and putting them back together again?

This is one of those areas where we knew we had to make a quality of life change (we couldn't commit to as many as we wanted in our charge to deliver the updated client).

Your rune and mastery pages will both appear in the form of a dropdown list that can be dragged and dropped in a reordery fashion!

I've always thought it would be cool if we were able to make custom champion lists that can be searched for through key words during champion select (just like when you type "marksman" in the search bar and all the marksmen are displayed). It would really help players like me that have a bad memory. Do you plan to do something like this?

We've overhauled the search in champ select to better help you find the champ you're looking for as well as adding in clickable role icons (which you used to have to type in). So you can select marksman, type A and get Ashe pretty quickly. Allowing you to quickly filter by role then search within. Search also is fuzzy now so if you type in A and U you'll get champions that have A and U sequentially, so Braum, Nautilus, Rammus. Or you can type T and F and get Twisted Fate.

Asked this last time, was among top comments, didn't receive an answer. Take two!

Considering the overwhelming masses of people that called for its return post-removal, will the ability to hear others' champion's select quotes return in the final client? If so, will there be a feature for those few who do not wish to hear them to disable them? I feel, if any time, this is the right time to plan this out so everybody is satisfied. Losing this feature was pretty awful since it charged the atmosphere and made champion select more enjoyable.

Hey!

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the lack of an answer on the last go-around. =/

The end-goal is for audio settings in the League client to be more robust than those within the current client. The first phase will be getting the League client audio settings to parity with AIR, then working on allowing you to do things like toggle on/off enemy Champ VO in Draft queues.

The current client has an indication of what champions have earned a chest for the season, but it's not shown during champion select. Is this something that will be implemented in the new client, to allow people clear, visual understanding of what champions have earned a chest during champion select?

Initially we won't have it in champ select since we're trying to reduce and balance the number of different things that display in champ select. Not to say that we won't look into adding it at some point.

I think this would be a worthy inclusion. A lot of times I'm playing a normal gamge and I forget which champions I've alreadh earned a chest on and end up picking one of them, and when I get an S I get annoyed because I feel like I have just wasted my time and have to keep playing again on a different champion to get that S

Mentioned this earlier elsewhere, but want to also put it here in case it was missed: We'll be able to share better estimates around full launch as more features go in for testing and stability is confirmed.

will resizing the client exist or not? the legacy client doesnt resize the contents espcially the store when resizing the window, so will there be some considration to this or will it stay fixed?

I'm repeating an answer I gave on fullscreen support, but it's still relevant...

Supporting different resolutions / sizes involves making sure that the assets are sampled at the correct level, and that the positioning is all relative rather than absolute. We've done all the good things to allow a level of resizing to occur and the screens to still look beautiful.

Our current plans involve supporting small, medium and large window sizes, and testing all the asset fidelity and positioning against those.

Trivial concern, but Kindred's splash in the profile section doesn't show Wolf (He's slightly blocked out) which really hurts the whole Lamb AND Wolf theme going on. (This was the case a while ago, unsure if fixed).

Not trivial at all - Wolf is best.

In order to get those images cropped for profile had to go back and make adjustments to about 800 pieces of splash art. We got a technique down that worked for like 99% of them - but champs that are actually two characters came through without their buddies (Sejuani has the same problem - Bristle got cropped)

It requires help from the artist who painted the original, but is possible. We'll get the ones we can fix, fixed.

Will the updated client allow for better implementation of changes in-game (such as new HUD options), or only changes to the client (such as Friend Request information)?

The client and the game are two different applications so the short answer is no. The longer answer is more encouraging as the code behind the game has actually been undergoing improvements for quite a while now! We haven't tracked down all the outstanding issues in the game of course but changes to how we code projectiles, VFX, etc have been made.

Perhaps we've been too quiet about these, but they've been rolled out piecemeal rather than as a big product like the client update is being released.

Could you we get some Information on the ingame changes, too ? I'm really interested in how the game is coded and how you are improving the Code :) It would be nice to see these changes too.

Neither Udyr nor Shaco were instrumental in the creation of the updated client. When asked for help Udyr was seen going into bear form and heading into the jungle. Shaco was not seen.

Minimalism ftw. Expect to see the store added to the alpha in the next few months. It won't all be there at once, for example the ability to purchase RP will likely come a little later (we want to make sure everything's stable before we're even ready to open up purchases) but gradually we'll add all of the store before the end of alpha.

You mean the pictures from the Profile & Collection devblog, right?

That screenshot is from an internal build, and shows sections that will be added later on in the alpha. They aren't ready for the alpha client just yet. Expect to see Match History added within the next month or so.

My server (LAS) doesn't have Ranked 3v3s, and ranked 5v5s were removed at the begonning of the season when Dynamic Queue was introduced, will you remove those two from the profile page in later builds?

The competitive team is busy defining what ranked will look like next season. When they're ready to announce you can bet it'll all be updated to make sense in the client.
