Store Visual Update heading to PBE

Aloha!

We're making some visual changes to the store and wanted to give you a heads up before everything goes to PBE. We made the whole package visually match the client, Champ Select, and Hextech Crafting, which means a few buttons and bars got moved. Most notably, you’ll see that the navigation bar has moved from its old spot on the left side of the store to the top (see below).

Other changes include:

A more streamlined navigation bar
A Gameplay menu featuring Runes and Boosts,
An Accessories menu, including Wards, Icons, Chests and Keys
A new Account Icon in the upper right, where name changes can be made
A new RP button (ohhh fancy)

Have you finally made it so that when I'm browsing the shop while queuing I don't constantly lose my place every single time someone forgets to accept the match? Not major but it gets really annoying after the 10th time in a row.

It's like walking through a mall and going somewhere because someone said they need to be picked up somewhere, but then they didn't show up and now you have to go all the way back to the mall because you wasted time.

I know a lot of people had suggested this but can we get a wishlist option? It'll be nice to have a notification whenever one of your wishlist item is on sale. Function of making it private or public(low-key asking for gifts) would be nice.

This is a great idea! It could be made for yourself (for the notifications) and for your friends to view as well (if they want to gift you something). At the moment, I just have a sticky note on my desktop that I use to keep track of things I need to buy in League (Runes, Skins when they go on sale, etc. ) This feature would be super useful; I hope it happens.

This is great idea. Also I saw this suggestion a few times and suggester myself.

But I fear Riot has a mind of its own. Hopefully they will hire a better UI/UX designer sometime. New mastery UI doesn't even have a stylized BG. And NCS suffered (and still suffers) from a number of unuserfriendly and stylistic issues.

As mentioned before you should really make that when queue is not accepted you dont automaticly get kicked off shop...If im looking for skins i fancy and want to buy or champs or just lookin around and queue pops and someone doesnt accept i dont want to go way through everything...

I know this is going to be downvoted forever, but Limited Edition skin owners are still waiting for that survey Hippalus promised 2 years ago.

And we're still waiting for proper compensation -- a tiered icon and an in-game emote when using those skins would be more than enough.

Come on Riot, keep your promises! Can't you work on things that were promised before all these new things?

He League of Legends i think its a good idea to reset the refunds that everbody gets 3 refunds again. i have at my own a big problem i don't have my refunds anymore because the first 3 days i played league i didn't saw you only have 3. thank you for reading my message*[slayer-jinx-catface]*

Looks pretty sweet. Honestly I've been waiting for this for a while. Next level is to work on account pages. Changing runes is pretty archaic. Would love to see some work there. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Will this remove/add any tabs/items? It looks like we go from 9+ (depending on what you count as store tabs) to maybe 7 or 8. Otherwise It looks sleek and cool and really enjoyable.

P.S. NEVER UPDATE THE HELP WINDOW!!!!!

Yes, we've definitely moved some stuff around here's what you can look forward to: Skins & Chroma Packs will be together in "Skins" Gameplay will have both Runes and Boosts We've moved Hextech Crafting, Ward Skins and Summoner Icons to Accessories

What's on PBE will continue to get polished and iterated upon - we just wanted to start getting everyone's feedback!

I hope that this visual rework comes with some mechanical tweaks as well. Was kind of off-put by how slow/clunky the current shop feels at times, and even more off-put by its inability to save my purchase info for future use.

This is a pleasant surprise, though. Damn Rito, you're making some major quality pushes lately. I love it.

We're definitely making some changes "underneath the hood." It's not final and the changes we've made will make it easier to continue to iterate more in the future. Having something that looks good, but isn't fast wouldn't be that great :/

Meh, I don't like how everything is so large and boxy. It's too active and cluttered, much like the current home-screen. Wait, what's the difference between the two's designs now? Both are just large boxes/rectangles that shove content in the face. All I see is BUY BUY BUY instead of casual browsing.

I don't really know a "place," but what I mean is that it's overwhelming in terms of visuals. Given the nature of splash arts, it feels like a battle-scene stretching across the whole client. With the current shop there's the tabs on the left, and the misc. things like top sellers on the right. It's easier on the eyes to have some larger portions to rest from all the action-y/bright splashes. There's a lot going on in each splash, and making them so large and having so many of them is just a bit.. much.

I just wanna slightly disagree here. When I see the homepage for the client, I think "Hey look at all these links I can click on for the next time loading times are long." I never think they are constantly showing stuff to sell. And showing off stuff to sell in a store is what a store is meant for. You go to the store to buy something. To me it doesn't look cluttered at the moment, and the new addition doesn't look cluttered either. It shows stuff that isn't going to be there forever, such as sale items. I think riot has done a good job of making things updated, in a good way :D

Remove the prices and description, keep the RP/IP icons. Keep it clean, casual browsing is about minimal information, details need not apply.

Click picture > further details Click RP icon > pay with rp Click IP icon > pay with ip

Don't turn this into a norman door for the love of god.

Edit: "What's new" & "Featured" are heavily redundant, if someone hasn't seen it before it's new to them, and if it's on the front page then it's obviously featured; leaves are green, the sky is blue. What's important is if there's a deal or a sale.

"Keep it clean, casual browsing is about minimal information, details need not apply. " While casually browsing, I like to have details right there as they are informative. If information is not easily found in a store, then I may just pass something over and go somewhere else.

If you have ever gone to a car dealership, you will see details everywhere. You can casually look around with no pressure, but a myriad of details are readily available if you want them.

Just a suggestion, but perhaps a skin overview? when we click on the skin and we are browsing, i'd say provide clips of the skin's particle effects in use if there are any. Pretty much all of my purchases have been made through watching skin spotlights on YouTube. I think it would make the shop look more professional, and It might even reel in more sales if you provide visuals on just what exactly you are trying to sell. Again, just a suggestion, I can live wthout this since skin spotlights are still a thing on YouTube! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

@Rioters Please fix the whole.. inconsistent reloading avenue that the client does? Your browsing through the shop, and you all of a sudden see a skin you want. But off the top of the head you want to click off to look at something else - You have to reload the whole shop right now, just go view that one skin aagain. (Which is why I mostly do skin shopping through champ screen.)

This doesn't have anything to do with the Shop, however this is for the Rune and Masteries page. Can we please have an option to organize our masteries? A drag and drop type of thing or maybe an "edit order". That way it would be much easier and more organized during champion select and make it look neater in General. Thank you!
