Tiny Turning Tweaks in the 7.6 PBE Cycle

Hello from the Champion Update lands! NoopMoney and Riot MEMEMEMEME here to talk about turning changes that are up for testing in the 7.6 PBE cycle.

We recently discovered that champion positions on your client can get very, very slightly out of sync from League’s servers when champions make wide turns (such as turning to face the opposite direction). We’re making some changes to make the client and server more NSync than before. Don’t worry, neither of them want to start a solo career. Overall this shouldn’t be a noticeable change, but we’re giving everyone the heads up just in case. (We are not adding/increasing turn speeds.)

Let us know if anything feels significantly off!

My kindest regards to Riot MEMEMEMEME, heard you're actually trying to tackle Morde's Bugs.

Does it affect tricks like skarner quick turn during ult?

You should definitely increase turning speeds. The Yasuo dev blog admitted that you had to overload a champion to high hell just to make melee be able to fight range without turn speeds.

Whilst your doing minor changes like this, any chance of looking at 4k scaling? Its been mentioned a few times but minimap in particular makes the game impossible to play 4k.

Its a massive shame because the game looks so much cleaner on 4k too.

All that's wrong is icon scaling on minimap, chat scaling on text and text scaling on overhead names pretty much. To make it playable all that really needs sorting is the minimap issue though.

Does this explain/address situations in which Champions can get 'stuck' to terrain on the client's side, even though at the server level they're moving still? (As a single click for a new move order causes the clientside to 'snap' to the server's information on position).

YES! This has bothered me for years. It's especially noticeable if you do very fast 180 degree turns, your position will sometimes jump a little, like a teenyweenytiny flash

Any plans for Aurelion Sol? Several weeks back a rioter said that there were plans in store for him, any update on that?
