Is there like a Secret Society of Silver Spam I wasn't invited to?

A while back there was all that complaining about Fizz, which disappeared as suddenly and with as little justification as it appeared. Shortly after that was Wukong (who still one-shots just as well as he ever did), then Jax (who to be fair IS ridiculous, but he fits the pattern otherwise), and now Yi.

The weird thing is that the majority of the posts are by people with little to no previous boards history, with a relatively...unnuanced... understanding of the game, and with a dogged single-minded determination to assert that yes, x champion is unarguably, objectively overpowered/badly designed/a crime against humanity.

I know the boards have always had posts like these, but it's weird how clustered they've been recently, as if they were coordinated. Is there some shadow form somewhere that's performing subreddit-like raids to spam Gameplay with carefully calculated chaff, or do these threads just happen to really reflect the fast-moving mid-silver meta?
