...considered naming&shaming or otherwise rule breaking (if it is clear who you are talking about)?

  1. If an older opinion/comment is relevant to something in the current discussion (even if it is negative)?

  2. If it is not specifically relevant to the topic, but used as indicator that misunderstandings/agreeing/disagreeing/certain characteristics of the person's opinion have happened before (for whatever reason)?

I think it's less about accountability and more about the name/shame rule. Accountability is a side effect. I'll bump your post so hopefully you get an answer. And just in case you want my advice, just quote what you want while being respectful. You won't get banned for it without a warning.

I think if you're respectfully quoting someone, mods tend to let it slide.

Some things are still taboo even in quotes. (Which really sucks btw)

Other than that im not sure.
